MICHIGAN ST -6(Get it now if youre getting, line will be 8 at tipoff)

I feel I know the Big10 above and beyond any other league. Michigan St being favored by 6 at Pinnacle I feel is another gift. I think it should be at least 11. Iowa has lost a lot of players this year, they are down to 7 scholarship players. 2 of those players were thier big inside guys. Reiner and Sonderlieter(sp?)

Line now at 7 and 7.5. If you like Iowa, keep waiting. And if anybody likes Iowa, why? I am clueless on how this line opened at 6. Even Iowa fans on thier Rivals Messageboard are predicting disaster??

MEMPHIS +2.5

Louisville has 3 players out including Garcia and Dean.

Three Cardinals Will Not Travel to Memphis
Dean, Garcia and Diakite are out with injuries

Feb. 4, 2004

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Three University of Louisville men's basketball players will not play in the Cardinals' game tonight (Feb. 4) due to injuries as the sixth-ranked Cardinals play at Memphis.

Starters Francisco Garcia (left ankle) and Taquan Dean (right groin) along with reserve center Nouha Diakite (right ankle) will not travel to Memphis for the 10 p.m. EST event televised by ESPN2. The depletions leave the Cardinals without an average of 30 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in its usually deep rotation.

Dean suffered a groin injury in practice on Jan. 21 that is still bothering the 6-3 guard. He played just 10 minutes at Tennessee after sitting out three days of practice. He rested much of last week and hobbled through 21 minutes against Marquette. Dean (12.3 points per game) has connected on 45.1 percent of his three-point attempts and his 3.0 treys per game is among the nation's leaders.

Garcia suffered his ankle injury late in the Cards' Jan. 25 game at Tennessee. He returned to action against Marquette after missing much of practice last week and contributed 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and eight turnovers. He is the Cardinals leader in scoring (15.8, 8th in Conference USA), assists (5.3, second in C-USA) and steals (1.9, fifth in C-USA) and also among the C-USA leaders in blocks (1.5, 7th), free throw percentage (.770, 11th) and assists-to-turnovers ratio (1.88, 7th).

Diakite became the latest addition to the list of injuries as he sprained his ankle in practice last night (Feb. 3). He has played nearly nine minutes a game while averaging 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds.

matt i to follow the big ten real close. i do not post very often just because i can't seem to set there long enough , but i do follow this forum alot. i'm a buckeye fan hence the name buckeye8 and tonights game sets up real well to go against my beloved buckeyes.

on offense both teams are separated by .4
osu 65.8
nw 65.4

on defense both teams are separated by 1.6
osu 65.9
nw 67.5

but the biggest thing of all is that this is by far the worst team o'brien has had they alot of time show no heart. i know they are coming off a win @ purdue but that will make those guys let up thinking they are big shots again. tony stockman is just a cancer for that team. look for a close games osu has won the last 9 against nw. , but alot have been close, the back door cuts will eat osu up

OSU 61
NW 60

TAKE THE 5-

I actually lean towards Ohio State, but not going to play it, OSU should get better as the season goes on I think.

Don't know if Iowa backers are going to be able to get 8, Pinnacle is holding steady at 7, while there has been some moves to 7.5, any Iowa backers out there?

Well I was a little wrong on the MSU spread, it still hasnt reached 8. Memphis did drop to only 1 pt dogs though, might be favored by gametime.

50-35 at the half. Pierce has 3 fouls and Worley has 2. Things look good. 3 MSU starters do have 2 fouls though. Iowa is settling for the bomb.

Matt- Good write up and a nice first half. You obviously follow the Big Ten very closely. I played the first half and the game and I couldn't name one player in the entire Big Ten. I don't follow college hoops much but will make a play here and there. You take a stand and have an opinion. I like that. Good call so far and thanks for the gravy.

Thanks, appreciate it. I try to show why I made a play instead of just listing. I feel that is more helpful for everyone involved. It gets a lot of information out to everyone. I didnt have much of a writeup on the last 2 games, but basically I played the unranked fav angle blind, and playing a solid Memphis team as dogs to a hurting Cardinal team. Memphis at +2.5 against a full Lville team wouldnt be a bad play, with 2 starters out, 2.5 pts is a gift.

Thanks, hopefully NCState can make things interesting(Williams has picked up his 3rd and the lead is down to 12), I will feel sick if these last 2 lose when I know I should have bet the house on MSU.
