The talk show host who sued Major League Baseball after the All-Star Game ended in a tie, Dave Barber, of Michigan Talk Radio is back with a new challenge . . . this time for newly disgraced Chicago slugger Sammy Sosa. Barber is betting $25,000 of his own money that the Cubs homerun hitter won't pass a polygraph test of two simple questions: "Did you just by mistake pick up the wrong bat?" and "Have you ever knowingly used a corked bat before in a game?" Just so everything is fair, an independent partly, like me, will select the polygraph administrator. If Sosa passes, Barber will pay the 25 large to Sammy's favorite charity. If he fails, the cash goes to Dave's favorite cause.
