There is going to be a little bit of drama built up by the time this game gets played

Ohio State fans loved Zach Smith's response to Michigan's negative recruiting. (USATSI)
Michigan's latest attempt at knocking Ohio State down a peg or two took place on the recruiting trail. Unfortunately for the Wolverines, Buckeyes' wide receivers coach Zach Smith brought the conversation to Twitter for everyone to watch.
This apparent flyer compares the long tenure of Michigan offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch with that of Smith, entering his sixth year in coaching. Smith saw the graphic and posted it to Twitter, offering his response to the jab.

Smith has was a graduate assistant at Florida and joined Urban Meyer's staff after stops with Steve Addazio at Temple and Doc Holliday at Marshall. Fisch has a longer track record, but Smith has moved up quickly and is on track to have a very competitive resume if we were to play this game again in a few years.
Even Tom Herman, former Ohio State offensive coordinator and now head coach at Houston, jumped in on the Michigan hate.

Harbaugh and Michigan are just desperate. They are so far behind Ohio State in recruiting and having a team capable of challenging Ohio State that they are in a different nation. Michigan cannot get past Michigan State, much less Ohio State. Michigan football died after it lost three Rose Bowl games, two of which were to USC. No matter how much Harbaugh wants to mouth off, Michigan is a has been, which is the perfect place for him, another has been.

Michigan has been a top 10 team in recruiting in 2 out of their last 4 recruiting cycles. So they aren't that far behind Ohio State. And who in college football ISN'T desperate. Either your desperate to make it to the top, or desperate to stay there.

Bull S**t. According to Rivals, Michigan was #31 in 2014 and #50 in 2015. Ohio State was #3 in 2014 and #9 in 2015. Show me where Michigan is a Top 10 team in recruiting. Show me how Michigan is not that far behind Ohio State in recruiting. You are going to have to learn that you just cannot make up stats to prove your point. Every time you try, I will shoot you down. Keep it real. You are not going to impress anyone in here with your imagination.

Once again, you don't listen very well. I said 2 out of their last 4 recruiting cycles. Go do your homework and come back and tell me where Michigan was ranked in 2012-13.

The rivalry has lacked something as of late. Nothing like a little smack talk to get things going again.

A little smack talk is what rivalries are all about. And you know Harbaugh won't keep his mouth shut for long. He'll pop off somewhere down line like he used to against Pete Carroll, and it will be game on..

Michigan/Harbaugh is setting himself us for a royal beat down by Urban. Go ask Mark Richt how Urban Meyer handles shit-talking....

Urban is a dick and Im sure would love to run up a score. But Harbaugh has played this "verbal" game before. Did it year 1 to Pete then knocked off USC as a 41 point dog. Plus, I think Harbaugh is batshit crazy. He has no fear. Anyway, Im not fond of either, but Im looking forward to the matchup.

To be fair, Im a bears fans and I liked him as a player. As a coach, I guess I just like the more respectful/laid back type. Just too brash for my coaching likes.

Maybe they will sell out this year's OSU/Michigan game....

.....just kidding!

Scalpers have had a boner since Jimmy Boy was named coach.

If Michigan can find a decent quarterback and they will have 11 to choose from this fall, I believe the defense will carry them to a pretty good season. I have them third in the East Division behind Ohio State and Michigan State.

That defense was solid last year and should be again this season(7th in total D).

The kid from Iowa is more than serviceable. I like him being coached by Harbaugh over the likes of Greg Davis. I'm not sure he's going to be able to carry the offense. A lot comes down to if they can get a run game going.

You are right-on about Harbaugh needing to get a running game established. It all boils down to the offensive line. Michigan has two good running backs if they are given a little room to run. Last year the O-Line was 'rocky' at best. With a little help from the offense, the defense will keep them in games.
