Very open and honest speech. It wasn't the most eloquent of the night, but you could see that his heart was in it. Everyone knows about the drugs, but I can only imagine how deep the abuse really went, to himself and his family. It would have been very easy for him to just be a arrogant, jokester, clown he usually is on ESPN. I give him a lot of credit for acknowledging his mistakes.
The guy who ended it with "Hi Mom" was the best by far though. Almost cried at a goddamn hall of fame speech...

Never seen Irvin in that light before. Someone said it before, he was honest about his mistakes. I really this guy has turned it around, I could be wrong.
The greatest thing about making the HOF is not that you are now a football immortal, but you have chance to thank everyone that has helped you in your life. None of us really get that opportunity, to really thank those that have helped us in life.
