The Niners have a fair proposal on the table, yet there's still no resolution in sight.

i hope he sits out, losing a whole year, and get drafted lower next season when teams realize it's going to be a pain the ass to sign him.

It would be pretty funny to see him sit out and then drop to the middle of the second round in next year's draft.

There should be a rookie salary cap in the NFL, it makes no sense to pay these athletes crazy money like Alex Smith got & perform badly. Prove yourself in the NFL & then tell your agent "show me the money"

You mean "a guy who took a few classes at Tech and then stopped going." Crabtree no more has a college degree than Jeff the Drunk has a diploma from a charm school.

What a dumbass. If this is all about the money, he'll never be able to recover the money he's losing this season.

Do people just state facts without actually knowing the facts.

Eugene Parker is his agent. Parker has been one of the best agents in the NFL for a long time.

Represented: Deion, Emmitt, Rod Woodson and many other current stars.

I say let the crybaby sit. I'm a Niner fan too. Or maybe trade him to someone who just drafted a player the Niners liked in the 15-20 range that wants to pay Crabtree. I'm tired of his pampered whiny demands already.

I hope he never sees a play in the nfl. He makes me sick and a complete idiot. By being greedy he's doing the total opposite of what he's trying to do. He'll sit a year, end up taking a much lesser deal since his stock dropped so much. He'll completely suck ass and wind up in the cfl as a run of the mill player making small money.

yes. but mine was more of misstatement. that people should leave family out of the money part of their career. MC's cousin is giving him crappy advice.

Unless MC is still hurt, he and his agent should have signed long ago and stopped being greedy for the money. few WRs succeed in the league without getting lots of reps with their QBs. That's why it often takes 2-3 years for WRs to blossom. and by sitting out he's just messing up his career in the NFL.

if he's hurt or just scared and doesnt want to play, then fine. but if he wants to be a great NFL receiver he needs to get his ass on the field and prove it.

i dont feel sorry for him at all.

I think his ego has something to do with it too. Cause it's a lot of money already. He wants to be paid based on what he thinks his talent is worth, no matter what position he got draft.

I can't believe that Crabtree is turning into ANOTHER BUST for the Niners! I am a Niners fan and they just can't catch a break on their draft picks. Alex Smith, Vernon Davis has had his problems, and now Michael Crabtree. Patrick Willis has been the Niners only good pick in years, and they're lucky they got Frank Gore in the 3rd round four years ago. This is horrible for the ENTIRE LEAGUE. Its getting ridiculous, besides Crabtree, I think most of the top 10 picks this year held out in some way. The league really needs to do something. ROOKIE SALARY CAP!!!!

yeah, this has mike williams written all over it.

WR is one of, if not the, hardest positions for nfl players to pick up as rookies. Although it's one of the flashiest positions in the NFL, a WR has only been the offensieve rookie of the year twice. One of the two was Randy Moss and Crabtree ain't no Randy Moss.

Looking at next years draft, do you think he'll fall into the same pick range as this draft? That'd be funny if he fell again to the 10th spot or after but I doubt it with the Raiders and probaly the Rams needing some WR help and probaly taking a shot at him.

What do you guys think?
