Mich State/Illinois

can someone tell me WHY! i look at this game and can't see how illinois stays in it - how msu doesn't easily cover this one. am i missing something here? yes - msu is at minny next week - and that is a big game so the "look ahead" is there - but even with msu looking ahead i don't see how they fail to cover this one.

anyone feel the same - or different?

Just some food for thought; MSU 1st gm on artificial this yr. dog 5-1 L6, MSU terrible PD and Beutjer can get hot, he`s done it before. If I can get 4 I`ll take the pup!

It is my opinion that Illinois has no rush defense so State should be able to control the line of scrimmage with there less than stellar running game. Illinios also has no pass defense and Smoker should light it up.

Illinois shouldn't have any success running against this stout Spartan defense. Their air attack isn't anything to right home about either

Maybe sharps betting Illy down to under a field goal and then pound the Spartans, which doesn't really make any sense to me as I think State rolls here on the road. Sure hope I am not a square....

News out of Ill is that coach getting heat and team publicly coming to his defense. It's the old rally around the coach as the players like him. Also I think Ill has switch from Astro Turf to field turf (Thanks to Chi Bears).

i caught a few minutes of root's radio show this morning and as soon as i heard him on the illini i KNEW i was right with msu and even though the past few days have seen weird finishes - msu up 28-7 w/6 mins left in the Q3 - this one is OVER!

chalk one up for the squares - who unlike ths "sharp" guys didn't over analyze this game and realized one team is very good - and one team BLOWS!

I see the sharps also had niu -18 today at CMU on homecoming. yikes, CMU 17 - NIU 0 early I think the sharps also had FSU -6 against the cains.
