Come on people that live down here love it and don't care if others bad mouth the city, just like all those living in Vegas will be quick to tell you of our shortcomings. Just grow some skin and stop thinking everyone is racist if they don't buy into your view. You guys have enough problems here with the high poverty and problems with getting people English skills, I know you don't need to be reminded of that. As for the people trying to learn English, it may not be true, but that is the perception. My in-laws in Mexico even think that, one of them said she wanted to move to Miami so she wouldn't even have to learn English. I know the sentiment is found elsewhere, why don't people in Miami do something about it?
i really wasn't offended about what you said about the city. I agree that it's too hot, there's too much traffic, housing prices are outta control. I probably will be moving sooner or later. I just don't like the way you generalized about a very large group of people, based on a few immigrants at the mall. Perhaps racist was too harsh, but if you really believe that all the cubans here are a lazy bunch, it's prejudiced...and wrong.
