Miami of Ohio @ Marshall...Evaluation

Marshall -7.5 over Miami of Ohio

Looked hard and long at this game and a couple of things stood out immediately. First of all can Miami of Ohio really be -7 in the TO category after four games against Indiana State, Ohio, Cincinnati and Michigan.
Advantage=Marshall

I next go immediately to strength of schedule and this is a no brainer. Marshall has been competitive against Ohio State and Georgia on the road. Miami of Ohio with two wins over Ohio and Division I-AA Indiana State.
Advantage=Marshall

Neither team is able to run the football effectively, although I think the quality of defenses faced by Marshall has been much better. Taking that into consideration I believe Marshall will be able to run the football and if they can that should open up the play action for QB Hill.
Advantage=Marshall

I could continue but the reality of the situation is that Marshall is at home and that -7.5 makes me want them even more. Seems to me you hang a 7.5 if you are trying, begging, pleading to get money back on the other side of the ledger. I will not bite tonight.

I think the turnovers and the quality of opponents will be the difference tonight. At home the Thundering Herd gets the money and gets their first win of the season.

Big time revenge game for the Thundering Herd. The Rothlisberger led Mia,Oh slaughtered Marshall last season. Before the Big Ben era, Marshall had much success in this series.
Mia,Oh has played poorly in 2 road games this yr. The Marshall crowd will be a raucous one. IMO, Marshall wins this one 27-10

FWIW, I think this is Marshall's 1,000th game....maybe a little extra juice from the home crowd and motivation for the players...

this stinks...BUT......??

Just bet Marshall -6 1/2 game (2 units) and - 3 1/2 halftime (1 unit)....Big revenge game AT HOME for Marshall who has played some good teams tough and Miami has played The Weak Sisters of The Church on The Rock...

See where some places has it at marshall - 7 1/2 so figure I either got a bargain or " They sucked me in again"...GL to all

Glad to see some people on Miami and not the world on Marshall as that usually means bad luck (who here believes in LUCK?)....anyway line back down to 6 1/2 from 7 and really like the under also for 1 lil unit as think Miamis run game sucks and Marshall can keep passing game in check as Big Ben has graduated up to the NFL!!!!....GL everyone and heres to Miami:finger:
