If they can't trade the pick, taking Mayo or Bayless over Beasley will be a terrible mistake. Could really use a beast in the frontcourt, and Mayo is a Marbury type who will just clash with D-wade for enough shots, and Bayless is solid but probably a year or two away and a reach at Two.
I'd personally take Mayo over Beasley. Never been a big fan of his. Just too many flaws I see in him. Mayo has more potential to be that franchise guy. The Heat desperately want Rose, but won't get him. Even if they offered Wade, if I'm Chicago I'm not giving up Rose for anything short of LeBron James. The kid just has too much potential and is too good already to pass up.
Well I didn't finish the rest of it. Wade and the #2 for the #1 and some players, like Hinrich or Gordon or Nocioni or Thomas or something like that. Obviously. The prior post had referred to Wade alone for the #1 PLUS other players. That's just ridiculous.
Bulls won't make that trade because Wade is a free agent after next year. What hurts Beasley more is that he measured out at 6-7 and not 6-10 like KSU was reporting.
beasley may only be 6-7 or 6-8, but he's got a long wingspan and plays much bigger than his size... he's a rebounding machine, and i think miami would really regret passing on this guy, best player in the draft imo.
