Well I was exagerrating some of course Ted, but what I'm saying is they aren't going to need much more.

I'm a Magic fan and in my heart I would love to say they stand a chance against this new power, but in my mind, I know they don't. And I just don't think Boston will have enough left, and also feel the the Celtics are one of the main reasons LeBron, Wade, and Bosh came together on this and probably all said they were tired of Pierce, Garnett, and Allen (now Rodo too) ruling the East & decided they were going to put a stop to it and form their own big 3.

Those 3 are just goint to be too much.

I know you know the game well and have had 4 straight outstanding seasons, but I also know that when it comes to the playoffs, a team must have 8 or possibly 9 solid contributors to win a Championship. You can't look at it that Cleveland won 61 games with Lebron and nobody because that just wasn't the case. Agree that the combination of James, Wade and Bosh sounds good but we are talking about a 2 guard and two forwards. No question of the talent but you win with a full team, depth, defense and height. The starting 5 for the Celtics is very tough with the bench to back them up. The Heat come up short in their top 8 or 9. It won't be a cake walk for any team in the East IMHO.

Field looks good to me. Field for the Championship looks even better.

Highly doubt the three make it through the season unhurt. Every game every team is going to throw 150% at them. If James returns to Cleveland, his season will end there.

Forget the bench? You've got to be kidding. You can't win a championship in the NBA without quality bench depth. And where is the height with the Heat? It's all about team match-ups. Not just 3 guys!

Ted nailed it.

I understand what you're saying Ted.

Either way, it should make for a very interesting season!

Definitely agree there Hatcher! The East should be outstanding viewing! Best of luck although I know you won't need it! :toast:

That line is crazy. The Heat won't win jack crap. If I could invest my cash and let it sit, I'd be happy to wager it all on them not making it to the finals.

OK I'll bite. Why is it impermissible for you to invest cash?

To me, the only possible correct play is almost always to not bet into 40-cent lines

For $20 I'll take Miami. Even if they lost there was a reason Cleveland was the big favorite over Boston

Just made a bet with another poster at another forum...I have the Heat to win the NBA title at 3-1 odds...I put up 200 to win 600...

I may not win, but I believe I have the best number....

I'd say you have very good value there. BetFair offerings are around 2-1 (+200).

Who wants to bet? You all seem to....We can make it friendly or really friendly. I'd prefer just friendly since this is a message board and don't wanna get burned really.

I'm open for business though, Gimme the Heat

Gotta think the Heat will not win the title next year. Just too much that could possibly happen. They definately have the talent...but look at went down when OKC played the Lakers in the playoffs...they nearly took them down. The favorites do not always win, and its a loooooonnnngggg season. Cannot see how anyone would place a wager at -145 odds with so many unknowns.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas - C - Cavaliers

Free agent center Zydrunas Ilgauskas said that he is "looking into [the] option" of joining ex-teammate LeBron James in Miami.
The Heat's superstar triumvirate has turned Miami into a magnet for veteran FAs seeking championships. Big Z would likely sign for the veteran's minimum and would provide welcome relief for Chris Bosh, who doesn't want to play center anyway. Jul. 10

The key to it all is that you don't have to sub Wade and Lebron together. They both can be a force with any 4 players. That's pretty much what they have done in the past so it won't be anything different. You can rest Lebron 5 minutes while Wade is in the game and vice versa. Also, they don't have to blow games out, they just need to be close in the last 5 minutes and it's pretty much Over...:howdy:

I'm getting tons of action on facebook with my Miami friends at 1 to 1 on Miami not to win the nBA title. What odds are you proposing?

Wow nice Sean....Obviously I'm not going to give you 1-1 to win the title, lol.

Your a slick one......I'm proposing a fair bet based on book odds since thats what this thread is about. Not some joke bet that your Heat buddies who know nothing about gambling are giving you.

I figured a bet going off pinnacle or some other legit books odds for Heat to win the east, which is what this thread is about.
