Anybody else see this as I do. Another overhyped/overrated ranked team going on the road on Thursday night on ESPN.

IE: South Carolina @ Vandy. West Virginia @ Colorado. USC @ Oregon State. Pittsburgh @ South Florida. Maryland @ Virginia Tech.

And now we have Miami ranked #23  (give me a break) going on the road to Atlanta.

Leaning the Yellow Jackets to win comfortably at Home... Thoughts???

I'll be at the game, rooting for the U, but I see GT winning by a TD. Probably won't bet it though.

I'm on the other side of this one. I really liked betting Georgia Tech earlier in the season, especially as an underdog, but it looks to me that the Hurricanes have progressed as the season has gone by while the Wreck has stayed the same, or maybe even gotten a little worse.

Paul Johnson is one of the best coaches around at getting his team to play up to or above their level of talent, so I'm not emptying my bankroll on the game, but Miami looks like the right side in this one to me.

Ranked Tm As A Dog?

Canes + 4, for a small $$ wager! I know the adage is opposite this, but the U has improved, tho I am afraid of the coaching mismatch. Hence the minor action. :think2:

Take the unranked home favorite against a ranked oppenent.
So far this year it's been doing pretty good

Agree. Not only the history, but GT is the better team with a good defense and with an offense that is really difficult to prepare for. I really appreciate the Cane backers moving the line down in my favor. :toast:

Nesbitt is listed as questionable as of now. My guess he plays but I would suggest waiting until it's confirmed. Don't know much about his back up Jaybo Shaw. Anyone know anything about him?

Jaybo is not good and I know a lot of people who wonder how he even got a D1 ship - much less to a major. Nesbitt is hurt, but I would imagine that he'll give it a go against Miami. He's a marginal passer, and if he's not 100% that plays to Miami's favor. I think the Canes come out with the SU win in this one.

It's the triple option. Passing plays little to no factor in this game. All on the ground for GT.

Figured I'd throw my 2cents in here as i have seen miami numerous times this year. you cant hide your qb, and we all seen this in the cle/buffalo game monday night. Harvey really cant throw the ball well, and although he does run, its not great. The wr's drop easy catches. They just run at you and hope to break one. They also run countless rocket and bubble screens. they really dont have much offense once they get in the red zone, but their kicker is a stud. i havent seen much of GT this year, but going by stats they do what they have to do to win--run the football well 8th in the country, and play solid defense. They only give up like 13 a game......i think GT can get to 24, and i dont see miami putting up more than 2 td's......miami is one of the most over rated team in the country based on their name and i really dont think they deserve a top 25 ranking and i dont think they win the acc. to win the acc they have to win this game, but i think unc represents the acc this year

GT backers, I wouldn't count on Nesbitt being your QB for the whole game, handicap it with Shaw playing QB so you won't be disappointed if Nesbitt never takes a snap. Shaw has seen a lot of reps in practice and in the type of offense that GT runs, if Nesbitt does give it a go, he will probably reinjure (ankle) it early into the game. Nesbitt matters to this offense.

I whole heartedly disagree. Jaybo Shaw is as capable if not more capable than Nesbitt at running this offense. I really don't care who Paul Johnson throws in their, I'd actually prefer Jaybo.
