Dwyane Wade isn't sure whether he'll sign a contract extension this summer, and he said on Monday that he feels the Heat are being left behind while other teams improve via free agency.
"It's a lot of teams that got better real fast," said Wade. "I want to make sure that we’re on track to where I want us to be...before I sign back." Pat Riley has been hesitant to make any major moves before Wade commits to an extension, creating something of a stalemate in Miami. Wade did say in late June that he prefers to sign an extension sooner rather than later. Jul. 6

Dwyane Wade is not expected to sign a contract extension this summer.
''I just want to look into all of my options,'' Wade said. ``You only get so many years to be at the top of your game...I want us to do all we can to give ourselves a chance to go and win [another championship].'' Wade has two more seasons on his contract, but is likely to opt out in the summer of 2010.

Problem with the Heat is they don't have the money to spend. They have some bad contracts and they have no trade value. Good luck trying to improve that lineup.

Wade will stay no other team can pay him the max.
