MG Man's NIT final four picks!

Tonight I may have a play on the Gopher game but still reviewing. The dogs have been barking in the NCAA and I think they do again in this first game. I'm playing

Well that was a tough loss, but I'm sticking with the dogs. I'm going to have two plays on this Big 10 game where I am 10 or 11-1 recently. There is a lot of talk about Eliason being out with the ankle injury but he'll play a little. He has been playing about 12 minutes a game and the real factor in the paint is Mo Walker. If he gets more minutes, that would be a good thing. I think this will be a defensive battle. If you can play the first five minutes, I'd take FSU but I'm taking my Gophers and the under.

This has been a scary game for Minnesota. #23 Scruggs has played more minutes in the first half then he has all post season. He is tall and lanky but hasn't appeared to understand the offense or defensive skeams and isn't very confident handling the ball. Then #10 Osheniks hasn't played since the end of the Big 10 season due to a career ending injury and he is logging major minutes. Meanwhile, big Mo is intimidated by the FSU bigs and hasn't been a factor. As you saw the last six minutes, the threes weren't falling.

I look for FSU to make a comeback in this one but I hope not to the point where the Gophers lose. At times, I looked at who was on the floor for Minny and wondered where our scoring was going to come from. Joey King who has played great in the NIT had to sit with 3 fouls as did Mo with 2. This is going to be a close one in the end.

My biggest fears are being realized with the foul trouble. I also can't stand listening to the two coaches talk about the olden days and not doing the commentary on the game. Knight is driving me crazy. We need to get through the next six minutes so we can get Mo and Joey back bit we have to keep it close.

Minnesota won with their third stringers for the majority of the game. If Eliason plays tomorrow night beware as I think the Gophs will win. Need to look at it a bit more but none the less, a nice night going 3-1 with the tough Clemson lost...............................oh yea is that my guy that I was covering? I might as well foul him so we're down by two possessions. WOW.

I have a big recap but no time to write it. Each team has a big man 6'9 or 6'10 at 250 pounds both have great point guards and rely on their guards for scoring. When you look at SMU losses they are all too quality opponents most in the NCAA tournament therefore my gut wants Minnesota but my bedding wallet says SMU. Also while Minn played one of the grittiest games I've seen. I Don't think Eliason plays and Osheniks will be hard pressed to give a similar effort as he did Tuesday. They can't beat this Mustang team with third stringers.
