I looked three more times. Anderson DID, in fact, hit the outside of the 2nd base bag with his right foot. Yes.

Does anyone know the actual MLB rules on that ? I was under the impression, that if the runner runs OUTSIDE the baseline, or does NOT touch the bag in an attempt to impede a throw, then he is out.

IF, he touches the bag, sliding or otherwise, he is SAFE and it is up to the thrower to throw the damn ball. I don't even think he was tagged, and he went TOWARD the shortstop, only because, he was on the INSIDE of the bag.
Hell, I've seen the runner slide WAY outside the bag, and have never seen a call of interference.

I don't know about this call. I say it was not a good one.

You can't use your arms like that.

If you could slide in like that, second basemen would be in the hospital every other week.

You can't extend your arms and push an infielder on a play like that. That's the interference. It has nothing to do with whether he hit the bag or not.

If players were allowed to use their arms like that, there would be nothing to prevent a batter from shoving the catcher as he tries to throw out a base stealer, as long as the batter remains in the batters box.
