Mets-Phils Ump

This home plate up, Alfonzo Marquez, is awful. His strike zone is the smallest I've ever seen. Pedro was eyeing the guy down in the top of the 2nd. He then threw out the Phils catcher, Todd Pratt in the bootom of the 2nd. Charlie Manual then joined Pratt when he was tossed too.

Lieber just threw strike 3 to Marlon Anderson but it was called a ball. There have been 6 strikeouts in the game, all swinging. Harry Kalas, the hall of fame Phillies announcer, keeps laughing saying he's never seen anything like this. Marquez is very bad, both ways. Lieber has thrown 65 pitches through 3 innings and Pedro 55 pitches due to this guy.

The Phillies actually put the shift on Floyd with the shortstop on the right side of second. Floyd is the first guy I've seen in a long time smart enough to lay the bunt down the third base line. They had no shot to get him as the 3rd basemen was playing around short.

Lieber is a POS, hits the number 7 hitter than goes 3-0 to #8, can he get Pedro out?

Lieber relies on hitting corners and this ump is not giving anyone anything. He actually didn't hit Wright. He threw it behind him. The catcher actually caught it. They showed the replay 3 or 4 times. They are smacking him around pretty good.

Gary Cohen & Howie Rose on the Mets broadcast are killing Marquez too. Just what you need on a hot, humid day at Shea...somebody who won't call strikes

C B Bucknor is just as bad and he should have a plate game today or tomorrow. I think tomorrow. He was in the Tampa Toronto series. Definitely play the over with him.
