BetPanAm would like to take this time to welcome the many that have come to use our Sportsbook. We have enjoyed dealing with all the new people that are playing with us. It has been a pleasure having you as customers. As you know, we are new and therefore we are definitely not mistake proof. We have used the forums and the feedback from our customers to help us correct any problems. Thanks for all that have responded. We appreciate the constructive feedback.

Since we are new, there are some issues that we want to address here on the forums. We don’t normally like to post on the forums and we will never settle a dispute on them. We will let our service speak for itself and we will take the good with the bad. In case of disputes, our phone numbers and e-mails are out there. Our main guys are always available to assist in any problems. In fact, we have done so for many customers. Like every new business we strive for excellence and are continuing to improve everyday.

We have chosen to operate from Panama City in the Republic of Panama. We have been embraced by the locals here in Panama. They are excited by the new Sportsbook operations that have set up in their country. It provides Panama with many new jobs and opportunities. The Government of Panama passed legislation to legalize and regulate sports gambling in November of 2002. BetPanAm was awarded a license in March of 2003. With the steady flow of sports books coming to check out our operations from other countries, I can assure you it won’t be long before many others are operating here. We are aware that some sports books were operating here illegally and unregulated in the past. But, that was before legislation was passed that made the industry legal within Panama. Those sports books are no longer here. Now, any that can pass due diligence can apply for a license and come and operate from Panama.

There is another problem that we want to address. Again, we don’t want to argue with a poster, but it is something we feel needs to be explained. We had someone who used Western Union to wire money. That person was told that the name he was given as the receiver of funds was being investigated. We of course saw this on the forums and did our own investigation as well. We found that name was under investigation, but not because the individual was affiliated with BetPanAm. It was because that name gets so many transactions in this part of the world. The name in question was Jose Gonzalez. As anyone in Latin America will tell you, that name is as common as Bill Smith would be in the States. We randomly choose names for Western Union and that was one of them. We have since taken it out of our rotation.

There is one last issue we want to discuss here on the forums. We do have people here with experience offshore. They did work at other shops before BetPanAm. But, we have no affiliation with any other Sportsbook. Scotty in Sales and Marketing worked at Pinnacle and still maintains a fine relationship with them, often telling stories of the early days and how proud he is that Pinnacle is the powerhouse it is today. Marty Monroe had a long career at Royal. He also talks happily about his time in Curacao. But that’s the only affiliation that we have to any other books. No stolen data bases. No stolen mailing lists. We are going to earn our customers the old fashioned way - through hard work and determination to be the best we can be.

The RX was the first place we announced our opening. Since then, we have purposely limited our advertising to just a few other sites. We wanted to get our organization ready to grow to the next level before launching a major advertising campaign.

So in conclusion, we hope that we can count on the continued support of the Rx readers. Give BPA a try. With the reduced juice you won’t be sorry for stopping by.

ladyoracle - it's maybe 1/100th as corrupt as Curacao...which has some of the top books operating there.

And in Panama they actually ENFORCE the law (unlike Curacao) and the cost of operating is 50% less expensive...so how is the above post "quite a line of B.S." as you state?

Why, because they say so?????? If i had a nickel for every 2 bit crook that came in here (Mark D. Charlie, Lance/bill, Pino) and said they were the best because we care about the customer blah, blah, blah....in my book they are crap. The least they could have done was offered to cover the fees i lost through no fault of my own. They are the ones that gave me the name of someone who is under investigation to send money to but even after i asked for a reply from a manager i received NONE!!! some customer service..Send your money to them!!be my guest.

What I find interesting is that within minutes we had 3 negative posts in a row. Topped off by benstern which this thread addresses.

Panam has quickly become my #2 book.

Pinnacle, Hollywood, & Panam are the only 3 reduced juice shops that seem to have linemen will balls enough to offer an opinion ...

... if you can only afford three shops - shopping at these 3 will save your wallet CONSIDERABLY.

T,
I'm not positive on signup - but I think it's 10%. They have 5% reloads (yeah, i know - winners wouldn't even know this ..

lol). And, yeah, -107 on everything (at least everything that I've seen).

They have the best MLB prop prices 14 cent or 16 cents .. something reduced. A limited variety, BUT great value.

I dont do free contests, and have only used Neteller. I really have trouble believing that Neteller would risk there reputation by selling there customer list to a sportsbook. Try again and keep ingnoring the obvious!!!

Im just going to drop it!!!! If i had stolen the customer lists from the books ive worked at and then tried to peddle them to the other books. I would have been buried in this place by all the Mods and especially The Shrink. I dont know the particulars of why the key players left Royal, but i doubt they were offered the mailing lists when they were turning in there keys. Im sure these guys are honorable guys and run a nice shop, but to attempt to sign up new players with a stolen customer list, doesnt sound ethical to me.
