Memphis turns down a deal for Stoudamire in which Phoenix asked for Rudy Gay, Mike Conley Jr and Hakim Warrick. Did they really think Memphis was going to trade 3 starters? this isnt a game changer like Kobe or Lebron we're talking about (well i know Amare thinks he is, but hes not).

Word out of Phoenix is Terry Porter has been fired. They are negotiating a buyout. (Not sure if true)

If anything, this would be GREAT news for Phoenix.

Yanni, no kidding man, Amare is an ok player, but dam, the bros got health issues constantly, it was a "known" thing down here that he had injured his knee over the summer of 05, they kept it hidden so he could "hurt" it in training camp and collect the insurance,

crazy shit,,,

bmw, geesh, I knew there was grumbles lol,,, man our team is in shambles,,, man,,,

I also forgot to add that, If Amare is going anywhere, it'll MOST likely be the Bulls.

Ridiculous trade offer. conley, gay and warrick? wtf? Why in the hell would memphis even consider accepting that trade? Three young guys with TONS of potential for a guy that might not even be there longterm? What a joke.

I think the trade is laughable for just Gay and Conley Jr., but they went the extra mile of adding Warrick. To be honest I would not trade Rudy Gay alone for Amare unless you knew 100% you had him locked up for the foreseeable future, which I doubt Memphis could get done.

I think Phoenix is going to go after either Beasley or Thomas/Gordan/Deng (a mixture of something like that) for Stoudamire.

Exactly

Memphis GAVE Paul Gasol to the Lakers & made it harder on every other team in the league by single handedly making LA one of the top 2 teams....

Memphis did that trade because they simply wanted to get rid of Pau to restart. They got his little brother in that trade and he has been decent. Not a terrible trade. Obviously LA won that trade, but Memphis didn't want Pau so at least they got something and they took a chance with a couple guys that haven't worked out right now.

Memphis owners were trying to sell the team so they traded pau to lower the payroll to make the team more affordable and appealing to buy

I'm in Phx...the Porter news isn't making the rounds here but, if they get rid of him it is less likely the various trades might be made. I don't think there is any player support for Porter at this point.

Regardless, after next season expect Nash to go to Toronto, Shaq back to LA and Amare to the highest bidder...if they are even here that long. Kerr, the Matt Millen of the NBA, has already made the team (once the most exciting in the league) to an also-ran.

There is no deal that will offer fair-value to the Suns for Amare so I just hope he goes to a team I can root for.
