megasb.com - Any word on this book?

Search
I saw them mentioned in another thread. Looks like a Pinnacle clone with even lower juice. They started in 2001 but I've never heard of them. Any info would be appreciated. They have overnight lines -104 sides, -109 toals. One bad thing about them is 3 way betting in boxing.

Never seen anything negative really.
Seen a few longtime players recommend them.

Never heard of them - but their lines look juicy, I just noticed that sportsbook from another person in that thread regarding 'reduced juice'.

It's a good book. Fast payouts. Reduced juice, their lines aren't generic, great cs. The only 2 cons are that the maximum risk amount is usally just 1 dime, and if you like to bet on the ml, you can usally find better lines elsewhere.

I was playing there for a while. I am going to reup there. Unfortunately, I never won there so I can't tell you about payouts but there reduced juice is comparable to pinnacle - if not lower.

Never used megasb but I can't see how you could see they are not clone lines...it couldn't be more obvious that, at least for the NBA, they simply clone Pinnacle and then shave an odds point on each side. It's funny, strangely Pinnacle has a 12 cent line Dallas -6+120/-132 and for that one they have a 10 cent line +121/-131 when tehy advertise -104's. I wonder what Pinnacle thinks of this book. It's genius...Pinnacle does all of the work to come up with sharp lines and megasb simply takes the lines and undercuts them by a penny.

There lines are not always the same as Pinnacle. They are using a similar business model as Pinnacle.

I'm not saying they're always the same as Pinnacle, but this morning's NBA lines were clearly copied....there is no way in hell that 2 books would come up with those same offbeat odds lines. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I may have to give them a serious look. A penny is a penny.

I have received a few payouts in a very timely manner. They do copy Pinnacles lines however...

I played into them during football...

Waiting to see how their bases look before I re-up.

I had *NO* problem at all with MegaSB

I was told they don't have a toll free number....and no western union deposit/withdrawal...

on the plus side they have overnight lines which is very beneficial, and they are located in the UK.

its ridiculous when you can't call a book to place a bet

what if you're at work, driving etc etc???

how stupid is it that you have to be on the computer all the time to do this???

If that's their business model, then you can take it or leave it. I see nothing wrong with some books being internet-only, especially if it allows them to offer excellent reduced vig. There are more than enough books out there that do take call-ins. If that's what you need then don't play with them. Personally, I never call in bets so it doesn't bother me one bit.

>its ridiculous when you can't
>call a book to place a bet

Not when the book does NOT want a phone operation!

What I don't like about them is that if you are about to place a max bet, the software automatically searches the lines at Pinnacle, and updates the line at MegaSB just before you confirm. A complete joke.

so what are you trying to say?

You don't agree that it is ridicolous that their software automatically searches the lines at Pinnacle and updates your line just before you confirm? MegaSB can have a line at +105 for hours. If you suddenly decide to place a dime on the line, MegaSB changes the line just before you confirm. That's why there is a 3 or 4 second delay at MegaSB when you need to confirm your bet. The software searches the lines at Pinnacle and updates accordingly.
