questions for mc from a noob

Hey MC, Im new to betting and since you seem to have a lot of patience and insight then i have a few questions to ask if you dont mind.

Last night the cold weather really seemed to affect the pitchers, allowing a large total. Some of that may have to do with experience of the pitchers as well. The temp is supposed to be up about 20 degrees higher today. How do you think that will affect the scoring this time? Im just looking for reasoning behind looking at a lower total tonight.

Second, if these teams are so evenly matched, or so they seemed as of last night and of many opinions on here, do you think there is value in betting the RL of rockies -1.5 at +180? Just to make sure im reading that right, that means rockies have to win by 2 or more? If thats the case and these teams are so close to each other then that seems like theres a good deal of value.

Once again, im sorry for being so green to it and i appreciate the time and guidance.

It will still be cold. Cold weather probably affects control pitchers more than power pitches. Control pitchers rely on change of speeds and location and need a consistent grip. Cold weather hurts thr grip. I see a lower total because these 2 are tremendous pitchers. Ubaldo can be devistating in the cold, much like CC was in the cold NYY game. Lee can be nasty too and should do well the first few times aorund.

I wouldnt touch -1.5 runline here. This has all the makings of s 4-3,3-2 type of game. Two teams scratching for that single run. Value is on the small juice. This can come down to the bottom of the 9th. And if thats the case you will almost never see the home team cover a run line.

I hope that helps a bit.

Long time bases betting angle. 2 top line pitchers engage in a pitching duel and the home team pitcher wins.

They hook up again in a short while and the first game loser is at home now. Play the home now pitcher and team.

The loser the first time needs to have pitched well. He did and this falls into a play on Rox.

You just can't ask for more class on the mound than you have tonight with these two, so keeping the pens out of the equation here, the Under for the first 5 innings is the play also.

MC is looking at 14-2 IMHO.

Hey MC, Thanks for the insight on baseball in cold weather and today's pitchers. It makes sense why the U/O line is lower than last night when the temperature was a lot lower than today.

Yeah thanks MC, i think i was reading the RL incorrectly. I had it backwards. Appreciate the time and help. also is there an area of the forum that helps with all the new guy questions and better understanding of all the factors used to crunch so that i dont have to ask questions youve heard a thousand times?

i just do not like the phillies i am a mets fan but i do sometimes bet on them because they are a money making machine...i do agree that one of these series has to go 5 games...on another note ubaldo looks alittle shaky today...this could be brutal for the rockies and the under
