3-1 In G.O.D's now after Phi/NYM game goes OVER 8.
Angels -138 over Twins
This game features a hot team with one of the hottest pitchers in the American league and a team that can't 'buy' a win. The Minnesota Twins send swingman Johan Sanatana to the mound in hopes to turn their misfortunes around. The Twins have lost 5 in a row and 9 of 10. Sanatana brings a 4-1 record with a 2.86 era to the hill but he hasn't started a game since May. He gave up 4 runs in 3 innings out of the pen on Saturday against the Indians. The Twins have not been scoring runs. They are not the same team as last year. David Ortiz's bat has not been replaced in the lineup and Torii Hunter is not having the All-Star season at the plate as he had last year. Furthermore, Hunter will not be in the lineup tonight. This does not bode well for the Twins who have to face a hot Angels team who are sending their best starter right now to the hill. Ramon Ortiz has been lights out recently. After a terrible start to the season where it seemed like R. Ortiz couldn't find the plate or retire a batter, he has quickly turned things around. He is 6-1 with a 3.83 era over his last 7 starts. He seems like the 2002 version of himself now. What makes this game an even better play is the play of the Angels bullpen, led by Brendan Donnelly. Donnelly is having a CY YOUNG/MVP type season out of the pen. He has an ghostly 0.40 ERA on the season. He has given up 2 runs all year!! The Angels can also score runs . Especially when Garrett Anderson is on. Anderson is coming off a 2 HR game last night. His HR's and RBI's usually come in bundles, so watch for him to have a very good series vs the Twinkies.
With the hot pitching of Ramon Ortiz, the amazing Angels pen and the bat of Garrett Anderson and factor in the punchless Twins who have lost 5 in a row and 9 of 10 heading into Edison Field....I see Anaheim extending the Twins losing streak tonight.
