New York, March 10 : Former GOP presidential candidate John McCain's daughter, Meghan, has dubbed political commentator Ann Coulter 'a train wreck' for her extreme views.

The 24-year-old blogger expressed her disgust with her 23-year-senior conservative after accusing her of typecasting Republicans in an uninspiring light.

"I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying on the Daily Beast Web site.

"Everything about her is extreme: her voice, her interview tactics, and especially the public statements she makes about liberals.

"Maybe her popularity stems from the fact that watching her is sometimes like watching a train wreck," she added.

Meghan further went on to question Ann's intentions behind her comments, saying: "Does she really believe all Jewish people should be 'perfected' and become Christians?"

"And what was she thinking when she said Hillary Clinton was more conservative than my father during the last election?"

Meghan McCain defends Coulter remarks

NEW YORK, March 10 (UPI) -- Meghan McCain, daughter of 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain, said she was just offering her opinion when she criticized commentator Ann Coulter.

McCain, 24, who writes a blog for the Web site The Daily Beast, said the conservative Coulter is "offensive," "insulting" and "confusing."

"It's not meant to be mean or nasty, it's just my perspective," she told "Inside Edition" of her remarks.

Coulter, who was critical of her dad during the presidential election, has a negative influence on the Republican Party, McCain said.

"I love the Republican Party. I want it to be great," she said. "I just think not supporting your candidate does not help. …I get a lot of e-mails from people saying, 'Thank you for speaking out, I feel the same way.'"

I got little use for Coulter & Miss McCain should keep her mouth shut in deference to her father. Two Republicans we don't really need though Coulter dwarfs McCain in the intellegence!

Typical Liberal Sensationalism

RobFunk,
Not to defend these two women but nowhere in the article does little McCain say what you claim in your thread title. In fact the only place where the word nasty appears is (exact quote from article) "It's not meant to be mean or nasty, it's just my perspective," she told "Inside Edition" of her remarks. " And as far as calling her a train wreck, here is the exact quote
"Maybe her popularity stems from the fact that watching her is sometimes like watching a train wreck," she added.

I would certainly expect better from a moderator. To say that McCain called Coulter a "nasty, train-wreck" is simply dishonest and misleading. And before you get all defensive I know it goes both ways. But liberals sure are taking things out of context or cutting quotes short (Limbaugh) to try and divide and finish off the GOP.

Hey D-bag GTC , Clearly I couldn't give a shit about Coulter, or Moore. They are the same person, just like Rush. They are entertainers and capitalists first and foremost. Politics is just the vehicle they use to make their money and I don't fault any of them for it. Agree or disagree w/ them, they have found a niche that pays them very well.

My point was on sensationalistic headlines (on both sides) and then re-inforced by a moderator. And BULLSHIT you don't play one side. Remember all the pre-elction GTC Obama mancrush threads you started. Like Obama can really hoop, Wow look at Obama without his shirt, and Obama is so cool. Linda Lovelace had nothing on you when you were fawning over Obama.

I don't claim anything. If you click the link. It only states what I posted.

I don't know where they got the 'nasty' comment either. I copied it over verbatim.

Exactly Rob, Did you even read it before you linked it? Or did you just do the American way thing and just read the sensationalistic headline and decide that it looked good and post it?

Again not to defend somone but to use as an example the Limbaugh thing. How many MSM sources played the entire quote vs. how many cut it off after he said I want him to fail? Those that cut it short were pushing the agenda set forth by the democratic leadership. The agenda of grooming Limbaugh to be the republican scapegoat in training. The anti-bush rhetoric must be wearing off and they need a new idiot to deflect to. Enter Rush.

When you see the MSM working the same agenda as the dem. leaders like Rahm Emmanual, it makes you wonder if the guys like Rahmbo are influencing the media. Or do they all have the same playbook and are executing Operation Limbaugh.

"what's hilarious is people like you saying" you be objective, when you be a partisan cheerleader, although I think most lefties wish you were a righty.

They don't have to influence their enablers in the media, they merely need to call the plays. Their boys will give them 110% effort willingly.
