I guarantee you he hits up some huge private fundraisers. His Minnesota ads have dropped off and he had them on every day. He spent over 100 million trying to get back into the race and is scrounging for more money to get back in the race again after Obama eliminted a McCain lead that took 6 weeks to gain in less then 2 weeks and is back up higher the he was before.

McCain can't raise anymore money because he took public funds. So of course he'd like both sides to suspend the campaign.

If by broke you mean 34 million dollars, than yeah, McCain is broke.

and bill clinton probably agrees too,,,just watched him on larry king live and (he gave what i thought) a resounding endorsement of senator obama...heheheheee...going to hit up the jewish vote

In an interview with CNN's Larry King airing tonight, Bill Clinton offered a slightly unusual reason for postponing his campaigning for Obama: The Jewish high holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which he's not known to observe.

"When [the Clinton Global Initiative] is over, and after the Jewish holidays, which follow close on it, I intend to go to Florida, to Ohio, to northeast Pennsylvania, and to Nevada at a minimum," he said. "I may do events in Arkansas depending on what the Democratic Party does down there. And I've agreed to do some fundraising for them in California and New York."

"Are you kind of feeling Jewish that you're waiting until after the Jewish holidays?" King asked, according to a CNN transcript.

"No. But I think it would be -- if we're trying to win in Florida, it may be that," Clinton began, before discussing his real Florida target: "You know, they think that because of who I am and where my politic[al] base has traditionally been, they may want me to go sort of hustle up what Lawton Chiles used to call the 'cracker vote' there."

"But Senator Obama also has a big stake in doing well in the Jewish community in Florida, where Hillary did very well and where I did very well. And I just think respecting the holidays is a good thing to do," he said.

he is definitely on your side..

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former President Clinton says if Democrats want someone to dump on John McCain, he's not the guy.

Some members of his party have been complaining that Clinton has not been enthusiastic enough in his support for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, who defeated Clinton's wife in the primary campaign, and heaping too much praise on McCain.

But Clinton told CNN's "Larry King Live" on Wednesday that he doesn't think "dumping" on McCain or his running mate, Sarah Palin, is a winning strategy. He said undecided voters aren't interested in attacks but solutions for the problems they face.

"I just don't believe that getting up here and hyperventilating about Gov. Palin, or Sen. McCain for that matter, is a productive use of a former president's time and is not a vote-getter," he said, adding that he admires McCain even though he disagrees with several of his positions.

Clinton said he and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, gave vigorous endorsements to Obama at the national convention last month and that Hillary Clinton has traveled extensively on Obama's behalf. That includes a tour of Michigan on Saturday.

"I think you can argue that she has done more than all other runner-ups have in the Democratic Party in 40 years," the former president said. "We have been quite clear on this. We're not party-wreckers, and we believe that the country needs to take a different course."

His net worth is 34 million dollars and change.

John McCain is either very reckless or very smart...and I'm convinced it's the latter. He just stared down The Chosen One and showed how a real American leader puts America first.

If Obama had any sack (which is a colossal if), he would match McCain and commit to go on a hunger strike until a bailout deal is struck.

Debates?!? This is a national emergency. No time for frivolous debates until we at least try to fix the financial fuck-up. But naturally, Obama now claims the debate is "more important than ever" (which I never heard him say before McCain suggested the debate be postponed...hmm).

Christ...sounds like something straight out of the UN playbook. Roll up our sleeves, work together, and try to actually tackle the problem? Nah...let's just go somewhere else and chat about it instead...

Maybe Obama could do a juggling act while eating cotton candy and riding a unicycle in a bright clown suit if he's so publicity-obsessed that he would go on national TV while his nation is in a moment of crisis (which, ironically, his party is responsible for creating).

This nation is lucky to have John McChange as its next prez. I love this country. Too bad the dim party doesn't.
