Ricardo Mayorga is now saying that he will not fight this Saturday against Oscar De La Hoya if he doesn't get 8 million for the fight...I was honestly expecting Mayorga to do some kind of stunt but I didn't think he'd pull something like this. I'm hoping this fight happens though pretty sure its gonna be a interesting fight that'll be more than entertaining.
LOL...I couldn't agree more. I've never been a huge fan of Oscars, I admit hes a great fighter though. I hope he gives him a good beating....but you gotta give Mayorga credit hes got a lot of heart and hes got an amazing chin. If this guy just worked on becoming a better boxer he'd be pound for pound, IMO, the best fighter out there right now.
If I buy this PPV, it won't be because of the main event. Here we have two guys a few years beyond their prime, neither of whom has legitimate 154 power, and both of whom have stamina issues. The prospect of fatigue in the late rounds could be the only interesting part of this bout. Mayorga will put his head down and plow forward, and De La Hoya will pick him off with counter punches, will likely go the distance with De La Hoya winning by decision.

Mayorga got DKed (Don King definition- you're gonna take it in the ass when the money is sorted out) and went to De La Hoya like a little whiny bitch and was begging for Oscar's help to get more money after insulting and taunting DLH since promotion of the fight started. I'm not a DLH fan but I hope he boxes his ass out Saturday night. Mayorga is so undeserving it's sickening! He beat Vernon Forrest twice and that's it! He's lucky to even get this fight against boxing's cash cow. I smell Vargas vs DLH all over again. One of the sweetest moments I've seen in boxing the past several years was when DLH was pummeling that big mouth prick Vargas against the ropes and the referee has to save him from getting killed. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same Saturday.

Rubio isn't very good, Ouma should give him a wicked sustained beating. I'd be pretty shocked if Rubio's slow as win. The most talented fighter on the card is Joan Guzman but he is moving up in weight against a bigger guy in Jauregui. I think Jauregui has a better shot at the upset than Rubio does.

I agree, you think Rubio ever truly got over get KOed by Jantuah in the 1st round? I think Ouma's relentless pressure will be too much for Rubio to overcome. Rubio's only chance in this bout is to lure Ouma into a slugfest and catch Ouma slipping because he does have some pop in his glove.
