Thats the correct number for the Goverment fee, on top of that sometimes the local goverments (municipalities) also try to get their slice.....depending on where you set up the shop the local goverment fee might not exist, I know San Pedro does have one

JC.

The present law expires on the 31st December and the Government will not be issuing the new version until sometime early next year .

The previous law depends on how many employees the company has and the rates were as below this year approximately .

1 - 20 Employees $25,000

21 - 60 Employees $40,000

61 or more Employees $60,000

Regards .

Might not seem a lot, but I suppose it depends what you get for your cash. At the moment, it seems you get pretty much nothing.

Thanks:

Dave: When the new 2004 law rolls in, will the 60 max. remain the same, regardless of the number of employees in excess of 60?

As I predicted earlier this year, you will see an influx of sports books leaving CR to open up shop in Panama by next year...

I also predict that one of them will be an ELITE sports book that everyone knows...

The license as such is not worth the toilet paper it is written on .
However if you do not comply with the local tax laws you are then operating illegally and could be subject to sanctions and being shut down.
If you in compliance you then have the legal right to operate and should face no problems with the local authorities .
