Stunning news from manager Dave Martinez hours before World Series Game 5: Max Scherzer is unable to start today due to spams in his upper right trapezoid. Joe Ross will start for the Nationals.

Taking WAS at +210 (will wait to see if it goes up as the day goes on). They know Cole isnt invincible hitting him last game. Offense steps up in support of Ross having to start.

Pro for 4-5 years. 4-4 this year. 5.5 ERA. Nothing special but its the World Series. I dont think hes pitched for like a month, so he's well rested, LOL. I just got a feeling WAS gets it done tonight. Puttin a little on the over too

Nationals have been waiting for him to establish himself for almost that long for sure.

This year Ross stepped in when Max coudn't go back in August and started several games and was absolutely stellar. He started 8 games and gave up 0,0,1,0,2,7,1 and 1 ER in 38 2/3 innings for a 2.83 ERA ... 1.29 if you take out that 7 run start vs. the Mets. Can tend to walk people which isn't good vs. these Astros who walk more than anyone.

He's already pitched 2 innings vs. Astros in this series and gave up one hit.

I just read he is a sinker pitcher. Same source stated HOU hits sinker pitchers well.

Scherzer was the 1 thing they had currently to get this series....Stros will jump all over Ross. Does the source say which Hou players hit sinker well?

5 Ho’s has no individual players HR props....:think2:

Guess their crack staff didn’t have enough time to research data after pitching change announced

Martinez confirms he'll start game 7 and Suzuki would be back

makes even more value on Nats +500 to win series. No way will Max be +175ish tmrw versus Greinke to justify the two games projected original odds in that series price

Nats now +124 at one of my outs, I think it dips below +120 by tomorrow morning. If you like Hou wait, if you like Was grab them now before this goes even lower.
