Mavs +3300 to win title, good odds?

everything in the west depends on the final seedings. if lakers, phon or sa play houst, den and hornets in the first two rounds they walk to the finals. now what if one of those 3 must play utah and one of the 3 mentioned? big, big difference

in my biased opinion, it's a good bet (one i already made)... first they have to get in, but the win last night was huge because they also own the tiebreaker over the warriors now. if they do make it, i don't think there is a huge difference in them and any of the other contenders in the west. they always play well against the spurs, and hard to believe a team like the hornets will make a long run this year, these breakout teams usually need a year of experience before they make a push for the title. worth a shot

If they can beat San Antonio or LA or whomever in the first round (or even take a lead in the series) at 33-1 you can bet against them and make money no matter what else happens

Mavs suck, I give them no shot. Kidd trade did not make them much better, maybe worse.

even if they go 3-4 (i think 4-3 is more likely with dirk back) golden state would have to go 6-1 to pass them for the last spot, and that won't be easy with road games against the hornets and suns left.

Kidd is still a superb floor manager, people take his ability to make a jump shot to far.

They have enough good shooters on that team, Kidd needed some time to gel aka a QB needs some time on a new team

no doubt it has value, but you i and this entire forum know they wont win it let alone will scratch and claw for the 8th spot. There is no value in throwing your money away.

They are now 1-11 against western playoffs teams with kidd. I cant see a hedge as the 8th seed they win 1 game, 2 games tops. Spurs,Hornets,Lakers will be their first round matchup. They better hope for the lakers as parker and paul vs kidd will single handly eliminate the mavs in 5-6 games.
