Matlock's a sharp dime player according to Will from Hollywood.

Search
<Matlock> went 1-2 today bringing his record to 52-58 but he's a <sharp dime player>. Sounds similar to when the boss says I can't give you a raise but I'll give you a <title>. Looks like Will knew what he was doing when <Matlock> asked him to post here. I just wish I could book those <sharp dime plays>. Will confirmed that <Matlock>'s unit is a dime. So we're suppose to belive that Matlock's 50 unit plays during baseball season were for 50 dimes. And remember <Matlock> once went 10-0 but didn't post his plays.

I posted to this in another thread but think Will is wrong here, WAY WRONG. He is basically using the forum to prop touts up who sell their plays here. I could get 10 friends of mine to come in here that work at books and tell people I was sharp but wouldn't dream of it. For one reason there is no need to, it would be the stupidest thing I could do. However if I wanted to sell plays I could put them on the forum boasting about me but don't think it's a cool thing to do. "You talk highly of me and I will return the favor", not saying that is the case here but why would touts not enter an agreement with books that way? Nothing to lose for either one of them......

I have always liked Will but don't agree with this move at all. Not to rub Dogball's face in it but he is over 100 units down in the NBA right now. That is over $100,000 if he plays them for a dime a whack like Will says. Is that something you want your book to endorse Will? I was just reloading myself at Hollywoood as I have to admit I like the book as well outside of this sort of stuff......

Allegedly they have overnights now on NBA and might be doing it on baseball. However though I am trying my best to forget what Dog and I have said to each other recently I don't think this was right at all from the book. Just my opinion of course.

One other point on this and I will comment no further other than it is a shady deal. I can have a book come in here and say I won over $200,000 in baseball just from that book last year and I had tons of plays over 5 dimes a shot. What people wouldn't know if I was a tout trying to mislead someone would be the win or my action was not even close to that. I was just scalping out sides and totals. Through the year as I do some scalping or middling along the way you just get hot at certain books. I will have the Yanks +105 at Pinnacle and Red Sox +105 at CRIS and the CRIS side will win over and over. Through the season guys who do this a lot will tell you the same thing, the win will go through a streak at a certain book you will keep winning at. I could get some big testimonials in here that would not be telling the full picture on my bet size or my wins if I was a tout. So while I may have won $200k from an individual book this year I really didn't win nowhere near that amount as I owed the money to the books I lost the other end out of.

Bottom line touts teaming up with books to verify how good someone is to help him sell his plays is not wise and in some cases is almost fraud like. Bad area to get into IMO. Knowing Will from Hollywood I don't think that's the case here at all, think he was just trying to help a friend out. But this is a perfect example of how vulnerable squares could be miseled with books chiming in on our plays without realizing the full truth. Just my .02 cents.

Just an honest opinion, not trying to bust balls here.

Looks like <Tiger>, ID and <Matlock> get together for some good Monopoly games. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Does $500 go in the middle for free parking?

It's VERY hard to win at all sports. I don't care what anyone says. Just since the tracking we have seen it. I saw Rodfather with my own eyes tear up football the year before this. I mean he was on fire in the bowl games. Hoops came was bad and then his baseball record he lost over $25000. Nothing against Jake as he had a strong baseball season and then stunk up the place in the NBA, horrible. To his credit he realized it. Dog did well in the NBA, no question about it but he is not doing well at all in the NBA. I have even seen Ivan get hot in the hockey and the play-offs, then stink it up in other sports.

Seems to me these guys should get a specialist in each sport and team up to form one service. I have yet to see any of these touts make it in all the sports. To pretend they can is not right. If there is one out there I have yet to see him. Some think I'm a consistant capper but even I know I am nothing in the NFL, always been my weakest sport so I thread lightly there. Don't pretend to have the answers. Bottom line is a player is adding a significiant amount of vig to his wagers to pay a tout. I guess one day they will learn, both players and touts.......

I heard about that post Raiders, really surprised me. I have nothing against Will at all, I like him but may pass on his book for a while. Don't think it's right he participates in assisting touts selling plays to others.

I think <Matlock> pulled the <hidden dogball trick> on Will. Will may not realize that <Matlock> is a tout.

Patrick,

I semi-agree with you on individuals being better at one sport then another, but one season in any sport proves to me very little. If one season proved you were a good capper then all you have to do is go to wagerline find the person who won the big contest last year in each sport and start coattailing this year and its free.I would advise against this, just trying to prove a point.

I do agree that most individuals are better at some sports then others from my own experience. The only two sports I ever make money in betting my own plays are College BBAll and CollegeFootball.

forwhatitsworth

Dogball may very well be a sharp player, but if being a sharp player is based on how much money you bet then I know a lot of sharp players. Problem is 99% of the guys I know lose money in almost every sport, if that's being sharp I prefer being square.
