NBA Capper inspired me to start a math thread.

There are two sons and two fathers on a road trip and while driving, the subject of money comes up and how much they'll need for lunch coming up. It's then they realize no one brought their wallet and so they pool the cash that each one has on them together and decide to split it evenly....but without getting into change, whole dollar amounts ONLY. They count the money and they have $21. So how much does each one get so that there is no change and all get the same amount?

The only way this is possible (same amounts with whole dollar amounts only) with $21 is if there were not 4 people.

So I'm going to say that there are 3 people - it is 3 generations, i.e. a grandpa, father, and son/grandson. Technically there are still 2 fathers and 2 sons.

And they each get $7.

I prefer to think we're just really smart. :)

Keep 'em comin
Ha, here is one............While Harry was in Vegas to get a divorce he patronized a
gambling house, though with little luck. Whenever he went
there he had to pay a fee of $1, and he gave a tip of $1 to the
hat-check girl on leaving for the evening. Well, the first day,
Earl lost half of the money left after the entrance fee was paid.
The same thing happened the second, third and fourth days.
Then Earl had to give up for the very simple reason that but one single dollar was left of his fortune. How large had his
fortune been?
