knew this guy had a bit of a reputation but wow!

Lots of bad ones but that two footed tackle near the end is brutal.

60% of the plays on those clips were aggressive but far from dirty. The guy is aggressive and goes for the ball without much finess, but not exactly dirty. Which of these plays is even remotely close to the level of that headbutt?

WVU - with all due respect I don't really know you but that is one of dumbest posts I've ever read. Please go back and look at the two footed, studs up, over the top (of the ball) tackle he put in right at the end of this clip. Any ONE of the clashes in this clip could've easily resulted in an career ending injury for the opposing player. Zidane's headbutt, though violent, was never going to result in anything other than a bruised chest.

The last one was rather nasty, but i would think if you were putting together clips you could easily find more harsh hits. These examples were lame IMO

:dancefool

In my humble opinion, ZZ sounded like an absolute moron in his interview. What a crybaby, have some pride ZZ. Act like a man with your words and results, not a headbutt.

in that last scence you say is dirty it just looks like a tough play especially since it is against one of his italian team mates as you see he goes in there hard with Pirlo right between.

Anyone who sees those tackles and doesnt think this guys is dirty must need their eyes checked .... every tackle he goes in with his studs ... or just outright kicks the guy. Materazzi has a dirty reputation and always has ...

the thing with soccer is you always know the really 'skilled' dirty players cuz you have to watch the replay in order to see what they really got away with ...

He's the type of player that steps on you the first chance he gets .... and then tries to help you up afterwards ...

No no I'm no pro, in fact I said specifically said 'not pro'. I am biased I admit it but the point of this thread holds through - Materazzi's a filthy fucker, he's not the only one but none the less, and should not be viewed as the innocent victim here.

If you have better examples please post them.
