I am sure many of you will wager directly or be in a Masters Pool. I am in several but thought it would be fun to share ideas of who you think will play well this year. We can all help each other. Below are my initial picks for a pool that you pick 8 golfers. Most overall money wins. What do you think? I had to have Tiger in the mix. Only thing that scares me is the lack of European players and my picks are very vanilla and obvious.Thoughts??

Also if anyone wants to play drop me a PM and I will email you entry. Both are $20

Els is an excellent ball striker and if he can keep those second shots on the par fives straight he can do some damage.

Furyk's lag putting is phenominal.

Weir has a great putting stoke also but must avoid a nine hole stretch that knocks him out of the running like last year.

Some who may be in the mix include Stephen Ames, Anthony Kim, Ian Poulter, Lucas Glover, Ricky Barnes, Charles Howell III. Think maybe one of these break through the intimidation factor of Augusta this year and post some low numbers. The CBS Sports Announcers call Saturday "Moving Day" at The Masters. If your golfer has a good showing on "Moving Day", he has past a great hurdle in securing a Green Jacket.

I think I am in the pool you are refering too. If the Point Of Contact is last name Fargo then that is the one I am registered in that includes four tournaments. Have you ever been to Augusta? I went one year when Nick Faldo won. I got to see Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman in a group while we were there in the practice round. This was before Tiger came on the seen. One year Arnold, Gary Player and Jack played together. Trevor Immelman won that year. On a side note, if you go to the RX Forum Golf Section and find the thread that is entitled Who Wins Masters, the odds sheet I used is posted there will all golfers entered covered.

hilarious and a small world. Fargo is one of the pools I was talking about! Another good one is Skrei.

I went to Augusta in 2005. Crowd was so massive around Tigers group you couldn't see anything. Sat at Amen corner and drank $1.50 beers for 3 days and then left Sunday around 3PM to catch the rest on TV so we could "see" it. Was an awesome once in a lifetime experience. My buddy in Augusta told me this year that badges are 2K. I said I couldn't swing that past the Colonel (aka wife)..:toast:
