Maryland is going to be many people's "fashionable" team based on winning The ACC. In the past week they have gone from a "bubble team" to a 4 seed. They won the ACC tournament in no small part to free throw shooting. During the regular season they shot a mediocre (even by today's dreadful standards)62%. During The ACC tournament they shot free throws early and often, making inexplicably 75% (74/98). If they don't shoot a lot of free throws and/or more importantly, revert to 62%, they will suffer an early exit.
There are only a couple things that really mean anythin when it comes to college hoops...WINNING IT ALL, REACHING THE FINAL FOUR OR IF YOU PLAY IN THE PRESTIGIOUS ACC, WINNING THE ACC TOURNEY!!!
