A friend and I are doing a double header this saturday of Northeastern at Navy and then at night Temple at Maryland. Any good bars near either stadium, any thing I should know about parking.

We are capping the weekend off with Bengals - Jets on Sunday.

If you are a college aged then just stick in college park after the MD game head to one of the three bars Santa Fee, Bently's, or Corner Stone. These three bars are about 100 feet a part and are on route 1. There emight be parties on Knox road also and it in the same area.

If you are older then head to downtown DC.

It all depends on what you want to do.

Also, parking should nto be a problem at UM. You can park on campus for a few bucks. You can also find a meter near the bars. This is far ass walk but if u are goin there afterwards you don't have to worry about drinking and driving out of campus.

We are early 30's so we will probably just be drinking before hand and wanting to see some games on TV, after we are heading back to Philly but may check out the scene.

Thanks

Moss,
Parking is actually a problem these days for games at College Park. The lots on campus are only for permit holders. The lot I parked in last week for Northern Illinois game was full by 3:00 for a 6:00 game. Since you're getting there after the Navy game, Olddirtyku was correct in that your best bet might be to park near the bars on Route 1. It's a 20 minute walk to Byrd Stadium but it's easy. Take Route 1 towards College Park, you'll see the campus on the right. Go past the campus and you'll see The Maryland Book Exchange and Cornerstone on your left. Make a left after The Maryland Book Exchange and look for a meter spot. I think it is 30 minutes for a quarter so bring your quarters. In your early 30's, I'd choose Bentleys or Sante Fe. Bentleys has some great stuff on the walls to look at. Sante Fe has real good wings. I can't get myself to go to The Cornerstone as it took the place of one of the most classic college bars ever in The Vous. $3 pitchers and an inch of beer on the ground. Man the place was fun. Enjoy the games and Fear the Turtle!
