I still think Pedro was at fault the other night, but my hat goes off to him ....

Roger walked off in the Series with a blister ... Pedro fought through 120 pitches and an apparent injury in hostile territory during the biggest game of his life ...

he may have faultered, but he exemplified what competition is all about tonight.

Pedro GAVE two games to the Yankees. In game 3 he loses his composure and beans a guy with TWO runners on base.

In game 7 he wants revenge so he tells Grady to keep him in. He's going to win all by himself, to hell with the team. He knew that his stuff was gone, so did Grady, that's why he came out to the mound. All three outs in the 7th, the previous inning, were hard hit. The Sox bullpen has been lights out in the postseason.

This is not exemplifying competition, it's being selfish and arrogant. Believe me, his teamates will be grumbling about this for awhile.

It's the manager's call to pull a pitcher. You CANNOT fault a player for giving 100% and competing.

If you want to blame somebody, blame the manager that didn't manage.

Agreed pedro pitched a fine game - manager was at fault not to take him off despite obvious signs he was tired.

Why not blame the rest of the team for not having the killer instinct? They had chances to really run it up in the 4th and 5th and didn't. Good teams know that 4 runs is not enough to assure a victory, especially a team with the attitude of the Yankees. Everyone forgot that a sac fly here, a base hit there and its 6-0 before Giambi strikes. If they had a 5 run lead going into the 8th I don't think Little leaves Pedro in, he is starting to think about saving him for the WS. We could speculate on that a long time, but reality is that the Sox blew chances offensively earlier in the game so that it shouldn't have come down to the 8th inning meltdown.

Pedro doesnt match up well with the Left handed bats of Yanks, Nick Johnson,Giambi,Posada,Bernie,Matsui. Pedro is a tremendous competitor, but should have been relieved, Posada hit a lucky blooper, thats how baseball is though.

Whine,Whine and 100 years of tears. Lander are you serious blaming Little, Pedro's an arrogant, selfish Dominican who's ego is too big for any team, he's no team player if he's was he'd told Grady i'm done. The "curse" lives. "Another miracle in the Bronx"

Managers fault, is obvious Pedro was going to say his fine...I don’t think any pitcher will ever say..."yeah coach, I'm done take me out". Take him out period. End of story.

Joe Torre say..."then again is Pedro how could you take him out?"
