Does anyone know if H.C. Mark Snyder is feeling much heat as he is now 16-31 in his tenure at Marshall. He was a top defensive coordinator at Ohio State but doesn't seem to be working out in Huntington. Perhaps the Herd should have stayed in the MAC.

Im sure he is feeling a little pressure but the ad continues to back him....I think if he doesnt make it to a bowl game this year then they will fire him....people in huntington are starting to get mad and jump ship then add all the recent success of wvu and it just makes everything worse.....there schedule should get a little easier as they have been playing 3 bcs conference teams and this year they play 2 with them spread out some....

If they don't win this season he is gone. They really miss Bobby Pruett and hs cheating ways...

I was really suprised he was brought back for 2009. I thought he was out the door for sure. He must make a bowl game or he is gone.

Guys...I'm no expert on Mark Snyder. But my general opinion of him is he is a decent coach that was thrown into a very difficult situation. He teaches pretty good fundamental football. He's a former Ohio State DC. And he had one of the better defenses in the CUSA last season. But he's had some bad luck with QB's getting hurt. He had two go down in one game last season. And although there is another QB battle this year, I'm thinking that overall they could be a little more stable team with all of the same coaches coming back for the first time in Snyder's tenure. Despite their losing record, I made some money betting on this team last season. When you play good defense in a offense happy conference, whether they win or lose, there are always some good betting opportunities with these kinds of teams. I think it would be a mistake to get rid of Snyder. A program like Marshall probably won't be able to do better...

I agree on Marshall in terms of wagering. They were getting way too many points at various times throughout the season.
