2016 Season Performance
Overall Record: 9-3 , +$345
Sides: 1-0
Totals: 5-2
Teasers: 3-1
Happy with my start to the season, especially the past three weeks, but just looking to keep it going.
For those tailing, this will most likely be my biggest play for Week 7. Unsure of my Sunday action thus far, but feel pretty confident in this Thursday Night total (my first Thursday Night Game of the year, btw)
CHI/GB O44 (-140)
$126 to win $90
Don't normally buy a point(s), but the more I've been thinking about this, the more I feel it can end up in the 27-17 range, and in totals, your most popular numbers are generally 41, 44, 45 and 47-49. With how much I'm up, I'll make an exception with this strategy to protect myself on that very precise prediction.
Anyway, think we'll get an entertaining showdown between these two storied rivals. It's national tv, we're due for a good Thursday Night Game, and in any event, Aaron Rodgers is typically at his best in front of the hometown faithful at Lambeau. The running back situation is a mess, but it looked like they were pulling it off just fine last week with Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery, who were also getting frequent targets out of the backfield. It's a different type of dynamic and could be tough to defend if you're Chicago.
With the Bears offense, they're getting a Packers defense that is severely banged up, and credit Brian Hoyer, he has been very effective while contributing inspired play under center in the absence of Jay Cutler. Cameron Meredith has been a big reason for that, and his notable emergence figures to continue. Count me as one very impressed with what he's done over the past handful of weeks. Definitely liking this over, although you could probably win it at 45 anyway. Just personally, would rather not lose a bet when I could see a distinct possibility of 27-17.
Should have at least one more play on Sunday.
