Marlins ready for late season move

With Josh Beckett returning to form along with Carl Pavano, A.J. Burnett, Ishmael Valdez (starting) and Armando Benitez in the bullpen, The Marlins look like a good bet to get back to the world series IMHO.

At the beginning of the year, they had a huge whole in their bullpen with Spooneybarger and Fox hurt. They have made some nice pickups and now their bullpen is solid. Question marks at 4th and 5th spots in rotation, but otherwise the Fish are making a move.

They have a kid starting in Chicago on Friday who hasn't pitched above class A ball. He might be a good one in a few years, but he's in over his head. Kinda unfair they have to throw him to the wolves due to the hurricane postponements.

Still wishing we would have held on to Johan Santana.

Thats RHP Logan Kensing who will make his first start on Friday because of backed up games. Beckett has a 3 hit shutout thru 7 going tonight against the Mets.

Hurricanes might get the best of the Fish, too bad because they look easily the best of the crowd, but all those games to make up including losing home games might be a bit too much to overcome.

Thanks wil, I had looked em up already. I believe he was a 1st or 2nd round pick out of Texas A and M.
I don't understand why they don't throw Tejera in this spot, he's proven to be effective in spot starts.
