None of these celebs are obligated to give anything they say they are.

Anyone can come out and say "I'm pledging 10 million dollars" and then not give a cent.

Kind of like the USA does when they pledge money but don't actually give it out :D

If she were the ultimate humanitarian, she would let Hefner, Guccioni, and Flynt start bidding at 2 Million for the rights to a skirt dropping pictorial @ Wimbledon..then donate all.

But applaud her for emptying her pocket change..something 99% of stars will not even do.

I know, I'm being facetiously sick, as she seems like a great gal, but damn she is uber-hot!

Why do these athletes have to make it public how much they're giving? Seems like it's all for the wrong reasons. What about guys like Tony Batista, the silent donors?

Maybe because us fans criticize eveything they do as selfish or arrogant, etc.

Think of some of these guys....I bet they sit at home and think "God damn...I can't do anything right for these stupid people"

Actually they probably don't even think about it...But since everything else they do is public knowledge I guess they think that something good they do should be to.

Can't blame them I guess...

I agree 100%, donating to such a worthy cause should be a personal thing and although all the money that these athletes donate will help the cause I believe the ones who do it silently are doing it for "the right reasons" where some of the others may have others agendas.

maria sharapova donates 10 dimes to tsunami relief ??????????????

That is a disgrace and a real cheap ***

She is a multi millionaire and that is equivalent to like $10 for the average American, what a cheap whore.

She should of donated like $300,000 even all these athletes giving is pennies to what they make. I am not impressed at all

The race car driver really stepped up, guys like Jordan and Tiger should give minimum 1 million

The good stuff they do has to be written to balance out all of the negative stuff that is written about athletes. (Some of them deserving...but others not)

i can see lebron james coming up with something like 2 grand for every point, rebound, assist , dunk and steal . just to show the nba world that he does it all.

if i were his handlers and wanted to jump on this bandwagon thats what i do.

or knowing how he is conducting himself so far , i wouldnt doubt if he didnt give already and kept the knowledge to himself.
