The dismissal hit Vick's mother, Brenda Boddie, hard.

People get payed in professional sports because they have talent and a competetive spirit. They aren't paid based on role model status. He's not the first person in history to screw up in the limelight. Others have preceeded and moved on. To name a few: Mike Tyson, Ron Artest, Jermaine O'neal, The Vikings(exception of Tyce) could go on and on, but you get the idea. He brandished a firearm, isn't that a misdemeanor? His career isn't over, you people are wishfull thinking. I was hoping there would be two brother rivalries in the NFL with Payton and Eli, just might get delayed a while.

She'll be firing up the waterworks again today I presume. I actually feel for he woman, has to be tough to have your kids behave the way he behaves.

When you're an outright star, the more people are willing to look the other way and roll the dice. When you're at best a prospect, more likely to say why bother. Marcus isn't the 2nd coming, if he did everything right, he might have a shot, needless to say, he is doing nothing right. I'd be surprised if he gets a look.

Who needs three guns ??? He can't even shoot all of them at once. Marcus clearly has something wrong with him or maybe it's the pressure of living up to the expectations that the Vick name carries. I think the only reason anyone is talking about this story is because of the popularity of his brother. There are a ton of talented college athletes that do things like this but don't make the paper.
