Doug, in a correct exchange environment to make that transaction you should need to have 1k in the account.(Meaning, your exposure never goes over 1k). If that is the case, and they do offset it(put the 1k back into your account after you've layed 1.7), then it is outrageous if you get charged 10$. I'm really sorry my Mansion account is nil at the moment, I'd have done some dummy transactions just to try it.
