first post i saw about this, i was about to make one. all the meatheads are paying attention to the football game only. took twisted_one's advice and took the dodgers RL so i'm happy.

so to recap, jamie moyer hits russell martin. kuroda throws at victorino's head. but they wait till the inning break to empty the benches. no punches but close. manny wanted to take on everyone and had to be restrained and davy lopes and mariano duncan were going to go at it...hahahahah.

Why do the Phillies' keep starting problems though? Are they that dumb.

I hate all the cocksucking of Manny Ramirez. From Pa, so call it a homer opinion or what have you, but I'm so sick of this guy. He's good, I like him, great, but he's turning into Brett Favre at this point. Enough already.

This is officially a series now. I thought the Phillies would win the series but if they don't manage to get any momentum heading into the next game. It may be 2-2 with Lowe and Hamels in game 5. I know I am getting ahead of myself the Dodgers haven't even announced a pitcher for game 4 yet. I like the way this game looks early have the moneyline(-150)

Lowe is pitching game 4, announced yesterday I think. And Blanton is slated to start for the Phils. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hamels be switched in though.

If Blanton starts against Lowe, that is a definite big play for me.

The fan in me hopes the Phils can win one in LA, but the gambler in me won't put money on them for two more days after this debacle of a game so far. They simply look flat, and I hope this blowout is a wake-up call. I also thought Moyer would bounce back after the poor start vs. Mil and the Phils had great value at +150 or so. That obviously didn't happen.

How is D. Lowe on 3 days rest? He looked good in game 1, just made two brief mistakes that cost him the win. He said the crowd got to him, and I can completely understand that. I was there, and it was absolutely crazy. I think the Phils miss the homefield a whole lot tonight.

Not to mention Blanton is trash, and has been rocked by LA this season.

Well I'm done with this game for tonight. Going to watch some football. Hope I wake up tomorrow and see a Phils 8-7 win. Good luck with your picks tomorrow.

Don't know the statistics but he has a rubber arm and being a sinkerball pitcher one day less rest won't effect him as much as it would other pitchers.

Anyone notice Manny wanted no part of anyone on the Phils until three guys start to hold him and then he acts like he wants to go at it. What a tool! A great hitter but still a tool.

strategy. think it'd be wise to make contact to get ejected in a playoff game being the team's heart and soul? let's be a litttttle bit serious buddy. not even a manny fan, but it's common sense.

Not to mention Blanton is trash, and has been rocked by LA this season.

people making all these claims without any facts to back it up

August 24th: LAD @ PHI - Blanton pitching - 6 IP, 1 ER, 4 SO
August 13th: PHI @ LAD - Blanton pitching - 5 IP, 4 ER, 6 SO

Total: 11 IP, 5 ER, 10 SO which comes to a 4.09 ERA which is BELOW his season average of 4.69. Is a 4.09 ERA great? No. Is a 4.09 ERA "being rocked by LA"? I don't think so.

But don't get it wrong - my money is on Lowe -1.5 here too. I'm just from Philly and don't like hearing our pitcher is getting rocked by a team when he hasn't(until tonight?).

P.S. Lowe's stats against Philly this year: 11.2 IP, 5 ER, 5 SO. Right around a 4.00 ERA
