Manning Or Brady?

Bailed out? It was a rule. An official rule in the NFL. Just because it was changed the following year doesn't make it a bail out call.

I am far from a Patriots fan, but after seeing what Brady can do with a great line and play makers forces me to say he is better than Peyton.

If you don't think that Wayne, Clarke, Harrison, and Edge were comparable to what New England has now, you aren't watching the same games I am. Peyton had an incredible season when he threw all those touchdowns, but not even close to the season Brady is having this year. In that year Manning had 49 and 10 with 4557 Yards, a 67% completion rate, and a rating of 121.1.

Brady is projected out to finish this year with 55 Td's 7 Int's, 4928 Yards, 70% completion rate and a rating of 123.4. And take into account Brady plays his home games outdoors and Manning plays his in a dome. That year Manning put up those numbers he got sacked 13 times the whole season, Brady has already been sacked 16 times.

People are just blinded by the fact that Boston fans and the Patriots are such pricks so they refuse to admit that now that Brady has weapons he is proving he is a better overall QB.

the rule was never changed. the tuck rule is the same today as it was then.

I have to disagree. Brady lost to colts b/c his shit WR dropped sure Td's.

Actually, he lost to Colts because HE COULDN'T SEE JABAR GAFFNEY STANDING THERE ALL BY HIMSELF SPLIT WIDE TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT A DEFENDER WITHIN 10 YARDS OF HIM EVEN THOUGH THE PLAY WAS CALLED FOR FOR GAFFNEY. AND THEN WHEN HE FINALLY DID CALL FOR THE SNAP AND THROW THE BALL TO GAFFNEY, HE THREW IT AT HIS FEET. AND THEN ON THE NEXT PLAY HE THREW AN INTERCEPTION.

Real game or fake game??....you decide.

Wrong. That was reche Caldwell the Pats #1 reciver that year who has yet to catch a pass for the R'Skins.
They were a first down away from going to the SB (on the road) with reche caldwell as the number 1 reciver...and with two guys on D who were getting they're first starts all year.
...and it was a very catchable ball.

when 90% of your offense is passing, your going to get your stats

your not even in the ball park. 54.7% of NE plays are pass plays. And by the way 4 guys in the NFL have thrown more passes than Brady. And Manning is only 22 passes behind Brady. I love how everyone thinks they can't run but they are 8th in the NFL in rushing yards per game and thats with their #1 back hurt for alot of the year.

Sir, Phil Simms just about jumped out of the booth screaming at the top of his lungs that "there's no one on Caldwell..there's no one on Caldwell" (I think PP is right, it was Caldwell, not Gaffney). The replay confirmed this.

Whether or not the ball was catchable, the fact that it was thrown after the Colts defense had adjusted, and that the Great Tom Brady threw it at his feet, ensured that there would have been little or no gain even if he had caught it.

It is INCONCEIVABLE that someone with Brady's peripheral vision and field sense could not have noticed his primary receiver split wide with no defender anywhere around him.

Payton Without Marvin And Still Getting It Done.

Troy Brown and David Patten
Troy Brown and David Patten
Deion Branch and Kevin Faulk
David Givens and David Patten
Deion Branch and David Givens
Reche Caldwell and Ben Watson

Those are the top two WRs in each of Brady's first 6 seasons. Reggie Wayne is better than any WR Brady has ever had (significantly better) save Randy Moss. Frankly, Brandon Stokely probably was too (his best season was better than any NE WR until this season).

The debate always turned on the question of, do you prefer the guy that wins with good stats or the guy that comes up short with monster stats.

Now Manning has a SB and Brady the monster stats so the answer and question are somewhat muddled. My answer (since it became a legit question) has always been Brady and nothing I have seen this or last season (Troy Brown runs the right route and Manning comes up short again and, frankly, Manning wasn't very good for 7 of the 8 playoff halves he played last year) changes my mind. In fact, Brady's performance this season with good WRs and absolutely no running game reinforces that.

For the record, Manning's numbers are down fairly significantly this season and even more without Harrison (save the last two games).
