Bets with payouts that big usually have to be approved by someone. There will be some fallout from this.

And I still can't stand the fact that Fanduel and DrafKings are reaping the reward of offering sports betting when both of them cried & argued for years that were in no way associated with it while offering fantasy!

Agree with this.

some lady won 43 million on a slot machine and was offered a steak dinner because of a glitch. this dude shoulda taken the $500 and left it there. there is some fine print somewhere which protects the book. he may have a reasonable complaint but nothing more and the books wont pay him out, maybe settle so they look good in the public eye but even at that i wonder what they open themselves up to .

This....

Its a bad line. Its an obviously bad line. Books put rules in place to protect themselves from situations like this. The problem is on both sides there is dishonesty. Players see mistakes and try to take a free shot at books. Books get lazy and leave stale number up or post games upside down and say it was a bad line when it really wasn't the case. I will say that on 2h's and live bets the books should have more accountability. You can't just go hang some bs number and bail yourself out after the fact with the bad line rule.

They still stand fully behind the idea that fantasy is not gambling.
This is a separate business for them.
Just because they accept sports betting now has nothing to do with past statements from them that fantasy sports is not gambling.

The clock was running at 1:10. How did he even get a live bet in at that time?

  • [h=3]2nd & 10 at DEN 31[/h]
    (1:21 - 4th) (Shotgun) C.Keenum pass short left to J.Butt to DEN 45 for 14 yards (G.Conley; M.Gilchrist).
  • [h=3]1st & 10 at DEN 45[/h]
    (0:58 - 4th) (No Huddle, Shotgun) C.Keenum pass incomplete short left to C.Sutton [B.Irvin].

A lot of these local people that are making bets at these new sports books in these new states are betting for the first time and dont know the rules.

I was at the mississippi sports book last week and a guy but on under 5 runs for the first 5 innings of a baseball game and it landed on 5 runs exactly.
The ticket clearly showed that it was a 3 way line of over, under, push.

The dude caused all kinds of trouble and basically acted like a fool in front of everyone when the book maker declared the bet a loser.

Started cursing loudly until he had to be escorted out the place.

The guy should have accepted the deal. It was generous.

How could he be the only one with a ticket...He said someone gave him the tip so surely they bet it also?? Maybe not 100 bucks but still..And no one else played it either? I guess if casino finds others that played it at the right line about the same time it would easily prove their glitch...

This was obviously a bad line and it should be simple to determine what the real line should have been.

A glitch is a system malfunction in something computerized.

A slot machine can have a glitch.

Lines that are entered by someone payed to do so is not a 'glitch'.

It's a posted bad line.

They can't even get their terminology right.

So if glitch is their argument, they are lying & lose.
