No doubt. I think as hard as Jordan worked though, Kobe worked more. Kobe was a perfectionist. Not that Jordan wasn’t....but Jordan liked to do other shit....drink...gamble...smoke cigars...stay up late.

To me...Kobe is the goat because of his worth ethic, and like you said he’s as close as it gets to Jordan. Also can make the case Jordan had way better teams.

Kobe won twice with Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol as his main supporting cast and their best knock down shooter in Derek fisher.

Besides Jordan’s last ring....

Kobe won with less.(minus the first 3 with shaq).

Those last two rings for Kobe should put him at 1A or 1B

Win share, career peek, etc. Kobe just isn't in the conversation with Jordan. Kobe was the rough draft that just happened to come after the final.

Jordan and Lebron are/were clearly better. But that doesn't mean Kobe wasn't an all-time great, he was, he just isn't a top 5 of all-time player.

Didn't see this commercial in its entirety until today. Shed a tear when I watched it throughout. Dope commercial. Great way to honor him

Think of yourself and devin booker ;)

I think he’s an up and coming star. That opinion is far from being a fanboy. Let’s at least wait until I make a thread about him and post 100x in it before throwing around that comparison.

You’ll be waiting awhile.

Why did you change names? I asked you in the other thread, just curious.

I'll never understand fanboy man worship. By grown men.

I think people as a whole are worshipping what he stood for more than anything. I know that’s what I’m doing. More than his career and his highlights and his accomplishments....I am more so admiring the beliefs and the manner of how he lived his life. That to me should be worshipped, to be quite honest with you.

I know these guys get mythologized over time to be even greater than their legendary careers were, but the Lakers '09 and '10 titles were only 10 years ago. For those particular seasons, they had an elite supporting cast and there wasn't a ton of opposition to the title at the time. Bron was trapped on Cavs still, Durant-Thunder hadn't emerged yet. Spurs had some down years before revamping their offense and getting Kawhi.

In 2009, they beat the Melo-Nuggets and Dwight-Magic to win the title. That's probably the easiest road to a title of any team since I've followed the sport.

2010, they beat the Celtics in the finals in 7 which was legit but a series they should've won as Garnett was never the same player after his '09 knee injury. In the WCF, they beat the last good Nash-Suns team but this team was getting up there, didn't have Shawn Marion anymore either.

Those last 2 rings were years where it was setup very nicely for him to win the title and he did, which is what you are supposed to do as an elite player. But there wasn't anything especially herculean about it like some other superstars in certain years.

All very fair points.

They did have a good team but not for very long...they were older and injury prone(Bynum). Team sucked after they won it. Kobe can't do nothing about who is in front of him or who he is suppose to play. But, he carried an old sorry ass team (minus Pau gasol) to the WCF two years in a row after they won it twice. Lost to the Mavs(champs) then lost to a young hungry OKC team.

Plus he dropped 81 in a game. I think he was a better scorer than Jordan was.

A player from a large media center together with an early death elevates the myth quite a bit. He scored a lot because he shot a lot. Maybe he was a better scorer than Jordan...I don't even have to comment on the lack of intelligence and logic in that comment. Oh yeah, and the raping. You want your kid to be like Mike or be like Kobe?

He scored a lot because he’s 1 of the best players off all time bro.

Not exactly empty inefficient pts like Stephon Marbury here

All of a sudden the Rx believes women?

I guess when they’re accusing a black person. Then yes. Right?

Most high profile athletes fucking more than 1 women. Pretty funny people bring this up with Kobe.

You think Steph Curry is just fucking his annoying, semi-attractive wife that emasculates him and no one else?

If that were true, he would be shooting like 19% from 3 instead of over 40. No way could he handle that.
