This is a streak of ASTOUNDING proportions.
This afternoon, I was on the Cubbies (one of the only favorites in the streak, if I'm not mistaken) and the over.
That drops my record in my last thirteen bets to 0-13, for a loss of almost $12,000.
Astounding.
And sick. Because I'm actually ROOTING for myself to lose...I've lost so many games in a row, and have come to expect to lose...that I'm just rooting for it to happen quickly so I can take my few remaining pennies and take a long break from gambling...which I always do after big losses.
How twisted is that? Rooting for yourself to lose so you can get out of the rut!
The only 'good' aspect of the whole thing is that this enormous loss is all coming out of profits. At my peak, I was up about $29K in the last month and a half...the recent astounding string of losses, as well as a bad week before then, have cut the profits down to about $2600. Still playing with the house's money, so to speak....and I think the self-defeatist attitude in me won't be content until I give every red cent back.
Oh well. Better than actually losing real $.
But there goes that 'real' big screen TV, car etc...
I hate this game! Back to real estate!
PS For the record, I cut my bet size down drastically now that I've played 13 straight disasters...my two most recent plays are on the A's and the under, for a COMBINED nickel (as opposed to the dime per play I usually do.) Now watch me sweep this game....
