Maggette and Brand from the Clippers and Davis from Golden State decided to become free agents today.

Who do you guys see these players ending up with? Cleveland is a popular destination I keep hearing for Davis, but I don't see it happening. Detroit is a likely spot for him. Brand apparently would love to team up with some all stars to make a title run like the Celtics just had, so maybe he's looking to team up with Davis and go to the same spot. If he lands back in Chicago watch out for that team. With Brand and Rose they could contend deep into the playoffs as early as this season. I haven't really heard much on where Maggette might end up, but possible places I thought of were Chicago, Sacramento or Houston. Maybe New Orleans would even be in the running since they sold their first round pick for cap space to possibly sign a FA.

So where do you think they should go, or do you think they resign?

Where'd you read this or is it just what you think happens? I find it hard to believe they end up with Davis, Brand, Maggette, Gordan, Kaman, Livingston and Thornton on the same team.

true, the Clips have being mediocre most seasons, but with Davis and Brand playing together, I think LA has finally a chance to at least make it to the playoffs...

Well I do see now that Davis is going to sign a 5-year $65 mil deal with the Clippers, but I don't see them signing Brand anywhere. It could still be in the talking stage though.

If they get him back as well they will make the playoffs as long as they stay healthy. That will be a VERY talented team. Not championship contending, but a 5-7 seed in the West is likely.

I think Maggette will walk, but yea Brand is 90% staying...I think that once Davis signed, Brand is satisfied that the team is going to be competitive for the next couple of years....

lol. i've heard this quote every few years or so over my 20 years of watching the nba

its been my fav quote too been sayin it for atleast 10 years now haha

well if they dont get any serious injurys (which somehow every year they seem to do) they will do fairly well... maybe fight for a playoff spot but the west is so talented its going to be tuff

With the team they have (assuming they get Brand) they should make the playoffs. They made progress two years ago and almost made it thanks to an amazing season by Brand, but with his injury last season they took a major step backwards (that will end up helping them in the long run because they got Gordon). This team will be more talented next year than they have been in a long time.

Brand got a deal from the Warriors for $90 mil and 5 years but he will surely not be going to a team that can't be a contender, I think he will like to finish his career with the Clips and try to get as far as possible now that he will be playing along side with Baron Davis, could they be the next Celtics?

What if all these guys who were looking to improve their chances of going far in the playoffs miss out in all three places. Philly, GS, & LA.

There is 0% chance that the Clippers can keep Maggette....He's all but locked in for Golden St. now.
