SA is "the team" - so I'll take Magette and a couple more rings in SA

Good player, but not the most clutch fella in the world. Not a guy I would want to rely on too heavily in the playoffs.

yeah your right maggette is going to help stop the three headed monster next year. Kobe, Bynum and gasol. They need a better center to take pressure off timmy.

This move will improve the Spurs. LA will also be improved next year with Bynum.

I see a move like this making the 2 teams closer in talent not pushing the Spurs to be better than LA.

Celtics made an offer of the veteran's mid level max to Magette also. They also offered that to Posey. As long as we get one of the two or both :)

But I would guess Magette ends up in SA

They are saying that there is no way you can get both.

Have to give props to the Spurs if they pull this off. They know there weakness and addressed it.

I wish the Lakers would move Odom for a true 3 who can add playmaking ability to there offense.

Parker, Manu, Magette and Duncan is about as good a starting line up the league has ever seen - if only we could get a decent PF

It's pretty obvious that we played without Manu for the series with LA - and does anyone think the C's would beat SA - let alone kick there ass

i love everyone thinking that the lakers can get it done with bynum... guy had 163 games started and has averaged 7.2 points.

also don't forget gasol will only be good for 50-60 games if you are lucky... better home those come towards the end of the year.

No reason to blame injuries as Lakers also played without Bynum who would have done a much better job on TD then Gasol.

Who cares about career stats when you are 20 years old?

He played 35 games last year averaged 13 & 10 on 65% shooting with over 2 blocks a game in less then 30 min a game. He was also able to defend the best player in the post without needing a double team.

Points and rebounds increased to 17 & 10 last month of the season before his injury. He was getting better as the season went on. Not much more you can ask for...

He is a very nice 3rd/4th option on offense and really helps there D in the paint which was really needs help. He will also open up things for Gasol b/c he will draw attention away from him.

Pretty easy to see how he will make them much better with just thinking what he can do defensively.

but did you watch the kid the first half of last season? he was drastically improved from the previous year, i think he makes a huge difference. he'll play the 5 and enable gasol to play the 4, which is where he should be.

SPURS ARE HANDS DOWN THE BEST ORGANiZATION IN THE NBA

It's true.

Lapdance, I', playing so much golf in Broward lately - Woodlands, Breakers, Lago Mar, etc. - and we almost always need a 4th - when are you coming out? - and when are we getting a table at SG's in Fort Lauderdale?

They win it all next year. Lakers got lucky with the bogus call this year.

Then again the refs could decide who plays in the championship again so who knows.
