I will never again talk about anything I've won or lost ever again.

A co-worker came to me today and said he was all ashamed about what he was going to ask me blah blah blah. Then he asks for $300 loan for the electric bill cause they are gonna cut out his family's lights.

Then a few hours later a close family member asks for a $5k loan because they need it before a certain date blah blah blah.

What the fuck? What the fuck is wrong with humanity? This money's not even in my hands and these people are already wanting loans. I am sickened. This teaches me a valuable lesson of never telling anyone if I win.

I can't imagine what lottery winners go through. What I won is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Anyone who asks for a loan is a lowlife. The only exception is asking for a loan from a financial institution. The funny thing is how quick people come out of the woodwork.

Actually, small loans are sometimes the best way to get rid of people that you don't want to associate with....

Lots of wisdom conveyed in this scene.

Yeah, you guys can't ask me for money.

Funny thing is the co-worker who asked for money is a guy who's already out of money. I know for a fact he's got a shitload of lazy family members living in the house who don't work. His son works but he said he doesn't want to ask him for the money. If you really need money why the hell wouldn't you ask your own family first before going to someone else.

yep it sucks, but you open the door when you shoot your mouth off about big winnings or loses. you tell someone i just hit this or lost that, they think you have so much money to toss around, what they ask for is a drop in the bucket to you. i know a few years back id have friends hit me up all the time for little things, im broke can you cover my $20 bowling fee this week or I dont have my car payment this month, shit like that. Yet you see them partying every week, always talking about getting a bottle or smoking the good stuff. sorry you dont manage your money or priorities. as pointed out from the bronx tale above you can learn alot from what people ask you money for and how they go about paying people back. I hate oweing people money, i will pay people back immediatly if i like forget my wallet or no atm around etc.

I asked for a payment but it's in the process but it's a small figure. You can't just pull out a lot of money like that. At least that I know of.

used to loan 20 for 25 the following week and 40 for 50 the following week where i used to work. was a factory and had many people do it. no way i would do 300 asking for trouble. my point is if they ask you-- you should ask for some steep juice. family friends or whatever. people always amaze me want a loan for nothing.

FWIW - You haven't won shit till you have that money in your hand! You should explain to them that it is locked up offshore and can be easily pissed away at any time. That should shut them up.

Very simple answer, NO.

Someone earlier made great mention of how to get rid of people, loan them money and when they don't repay, you will never here from them.
