The Happening.....ugh.

I think he is now 0 for his last 6!

Do all actors forget how to act in his movies?

Sixth Sense was ok and I enjoyed Signs. The rest were shit IMO. I would always look forward to his movies too because the previews always look good. Then the entire plot of the movie sucks ass.

I admit I sat through it when it came on HBO. But to say "it kicked ass" is a stretch of epic proportions.

I just tried to rent "the happening" netflix shows it as 'long wait'.

The whole concept of the happening is terrible, and it makes no sense why they wud cast Mark Wahlberg as the gutless science teacher. Should have went in the Jeff Goldblum direction.

Yea, i think he'll be good in Max Payne, thats a better suited role for him.

I really don't know what the hell happened to him unless he stole scripts. Sixth Sense and Unbreakable almost seem too good to be written by him.

You guys have to understand that he's not trying the same things from those earlier movies. The script for Lady in the Water is made bad on purpose and the outlandish scenes are par for the course. It's supposed to be a little weird.

As far as The Happening, I thought it had a good mix of violence and unknown. Marky Mark did just fine IMO and although a little explanation would have been nice it's that unknown factor that keeps you guessing that I'm pretty sure was the point of the movie. Everyone was expecting a twist and I think the weird twist is that there was none. Guy produces some weird movies but I've always enjoyed them. You just shouldn't expect much consistency because he changes his style alot.

I loved Signs!

Village and Lady in the Water were two of the worst movies I paid to see.

The Happening I saw online so I wasn't as disappointed (free)

This Shamalan fool built a good name for himself considering he is mediocre at best.
