Mink Recalled (Updated)

The Caps have recalled right wing Graham Mink and he's on the ice for the morning skate. I don't see any other recalls, so I'm assuming that means that Boyd Gordon (back spasms) is good to go.

Injured players Mike Green (bruised shoulder), John Erskine (concussion), Sergei Fedorov (sprain ankle) and Alexander Semin (upper back strain) are all skating. But it doesn't look like any will play tonight against the Panthers.

Can't figure out these replacements. Most of them are just as good as the guys who are out. In Florida's case they are better!

Sure didn't effect them when they shut out Montreal the other day.

Just one game and adrenaline was a big factor since several players had just been called up.

Believe me, they miss Semin (MVP candidate when he was playing), Green (decent D-Man who can carry the puck and score), Poti (Solid defenseman which the Caps are in dire need of), and Fedorov (calming presence who is good offensively but also very solid on the defensive end).

They can still win without those players but they are much, much better with them in the lineup. I could only listen to the game on radio tonight since it wasn't televised (Thanks to Versus) but it sounded like a Florida had two really fluky goals that killed the Caps.
