Sounds to me like you got a bit of cash riding on the Nucks tonight.
Good luck!

Fuck Luongo and fuck the Canucks. Yea they look like Cup contenders alright. RIght when I have a chance to go 4-0 +400 in the betjam contest these Nucks blow me. Guess I will have to take a 3-1 +120 instead which is fine but sooooo many what could have beens this NHL season DAMNIT!

Excuse me for saying so, but I think it was a mistake to take the Nucks tonight. Luongo is back in net for the first time in a long time. You had to know he would be rusty.

He picked Vancouver because he was just following my lead. He can't get his own picks.

The bottom line is Sundin doesnt make this team a legit threat, they are a decent team but they arent going anywhere.

Like i said if he wanted to actually win a stanley cup he shouldnt have signed in Van.

i know the nucks welll, first off why would the canucks be favored -200 ??? team is struggling on both sides and first game back for luongo. In a interview he said it felt like first game and we all know luongo is a slow starter.. Then you have all the big hype about sundin, well imo its a waste of 5 mil, sundin needs at least 10-15 games to get in line with his speed and skills.. Van has 4 mil in this year salary cap so hopefully mike gillis will add one or two more players hopefullly one forward and defence.. i will not be betting the nucks until mid feb when they get there shit together but that might be to late..

Solid post SOB - I can't think of one canucks fan who felt that canucks were worthy of that price last night. The entire team looks out of sorts especially the passing and shooting.

We know the goaltending will improve which will improve the whole team.

Better to slump in Jan than March.

teams have their high points and low points during the season. Happens to everyone. Right now Canucks are at their low point and struggling in all areas. Luongo is rusty as hell, Sundin is still not even close to up to speed, that was a ridiculous line on Vancouver last night. Even at their best they still can't compete with San Jose or Detroit, but I think they'll be a very good team after the allstar break when they get their confidence back and Luongo works off the rust.

I wish there was a prop bet on who would last longer in the NHL, San Jose or Vancouver. I'm sure that at this low-point in the season, the Canucks would be at least +300, and I'd pound the heck out of that line!

I'm shocked to see so many people say Mats Sundin is a horrible waste. The guy will pick it up. It's not a question of if, but when. He is big, and just needs to get his legs going and get used to the fast-paced nature of the game. Luongo also needs to get back into game form. Once these two get into the flow, I don't see why the Canucks can't compete with anyone in the West. Two solid forward lines and a great defence.

I'm usually very pessimistic about the Canucks' chances, but if there is a year where we really have a shot to do something, it is this year.

I'm just really really shocked about the amount of people who think Mats Sundin is worthless.

I seem to watch Vancouver a lot (because they are usually one of the late games here on the East Coast) and now with Mats Sundin, they are pretty much set w/their top 6 (first 2 lines). Whenever the Sedins are on the ice, I cringe if I have a bet against the Nucks, because these Swede bros are among the best. Also, arguably, Robby Lu is the best goaltender in the NHL (no doubt in the top 3). The problem is the defense. Not extremely young on defense (their avg age is 29). Vancouver also has a lead leading 18.1 PIM/Game. That's always going to hurt no matter who the team is.

Don't expect the Canucks to do anything if they make the playoffs.
